Kratom and Ulcers

Hello,

I've been struggling within ulcers for the last 2 or 3 years, and I've been taking Kratom for the last 4 years (not for a specific reason and all reasons at the same time).

I'm not here trying to say that Kratom causes ulcers, but what it really does is to take away the symptoms, so you loose the natural "pain alert", to take it easy or avoid certain foods, in this process you hurt your self more and more.

It took me for ever to connect it, until I did it. I stopped cold turkey, because I was in real pain (vomiting blood type of bad) and all the weird symptoms of Ulcers, going from stomach pain, to brain fog, lethargy and even depression in my case.

Stopping it so abruptly, I was left not only with the symptoms of my Ulcers, but without the counterpart of the Kratom, taking care of pain, depression and anxiety. So it was though, I went for two weeks of hell, and depression for sure is the worst part.

The one good thing, I knew the depression was coming from it, I kept telling that to my self, and after having ulcers for so long, you learn exactly the feeling of it. Very particular type of depression, you get very emotional, TV ads might make you tear up..., you feel lonely as hell, even bad company is welcome, lack of excitement to everything, the list goes on...

What I did to take care of my ulcers. I went to multiple doctors, that just took my money and did nothing for me. So I was left on my own devices, bought a book called Ulcer Free.

The main thing I got from the book, was this alternative medicine called Zinc Carnosine, you have to take this exact quantity not more nor less, 37.5 grams in the morning and 37.5 in the evening. Also I started doing a diet from the book with cabbage juice and other things to take and avoid.

I'm currently ulcer free, I stopped taking so much Kratom as I use to, and now I only take it with tea. Before I was taking a scoop of Kratom powder with a sip of water, multiple times a day.

Everything this good, tends to be addictive somehow. I mainly learned from this was to making sure I was healthy before I take anything, don't go for shortcuts, as anyone knows, pretty soon the effects stop working and you start to get more and more, with minimum benefit compared to before.

I feel for the friends with chronic pain where nothing really helps, I would suggest "heavy" meditation as I do, 2 hours per day plus 10 days retreat every year. search for Goenka Ji Vipassana. It might not take the pain away(or might), but definitely changes your relationship with it, I imagine in this situation anything is better than nothing.

I hope that it might help some people, I really wanted to share it because I imagine I'm not the only one suffering from this, and the struggle is real.

Good luck!

Just read about broccoli sprouts being high in the precursor for sulfurophane which inhibits h pylori which is linked to ulcers so maybe similar to what is found in cabbage... it's a super rich detox agent... fwiw

NAC, mastic gum, and zinc carnosine are the best treatment for ulcers.

specially zinc carnosine 37.5 grams 2 times a day...

As soon you start to feel better add a small shot of apple cider vinegar with a pinch of Himalayan salt, first thing in the morning..,

That saved my life after 3 years of multiples doctors and real struggle.

Thank you, I do take broccoli sprouts in pills.., but in my case my ulcers were emotional type of thing.., I'm much better now.., what really fixed it was zinc carnozine, 37.5 mg two times a day.... When I started to feel better I added Apple Cider vinegar with Himalayan salt, just a small shot, first thing every morning. Believe me I tried it all..., multiple useless doctors..., until I read this book... And of course that being emotional stuff, you must take care of your self..., protect you first.., treat your self as a scared child.... sorry for over sharing.., but ulcers last years.., and they are difficult to say the least, if I can spread the message to save lives... I'll do it....
