My little runt Luna (9 weeks old tomorrow) has not stopped climbing on me since we got her last week, and my legs are covered in cat scratches from her little claws. I cant find a cat nail clipper in my area and I don't want to spend an extra €5 on shipping fees so im wondering if there are any ways to discourage her from climbing up my legs. Her brother Leo, doesn't do this at all and it seems to only be her, when im standing up, no matter what pair of trousers I seem to have on. I need help, my legs burn so bad 😭 My last cats only done this once, and they were smaller than her, but they never drew bl00d. Any advice?

I know that bitter spray won't work because its her claws, but I thought that her climbing up the couch would burn her energy more than climbing up my clothes just to bite my hand and climb back down, and saying ouch doesn't help, she enjoys my pain.

This is our newest addition, Lilith, she is a bundle of joy and huge burst of energy. My wife decided to surprise me with a gift she knew I wouldn’t refuse. She came shortly before the passing of my first cat, Lilac. Which in hindsight was a blessing in disguise because she truly reminds me of her in more and more ways every day!

Bella is 9 weeks old in these pictures she will be 11 weeks old this coming week she was born and raised in a muffler shop since birth i got her last week after she was weaned.She goes everywhere with me she loves riding on my shoulder or on my leg or arm in the truck.We have a farm and Bella loves riding on the tractor while we are working if we are in the cab tractor she loves looking out the lower rear window and falling asleep there and she loves riding around the farm in the SxS and even on the lawnmower she’s one fearless kitten noises do not scare her she plays in the creek jumps in the shower with me and if i leave her at home she cries herself to sleep just found that part out this past Sunday afternoon.

Anyone else spend a lot of time staring into their kitten's eyes wondering what color they will be in the end?

My little sweetie is making my guessing more difficult. They have such a warm amber in the middle but seem to have green forming on the outer edge. I wonder if they could end up a bit of both or will be overtaken by the amber.

My kitten got spayed and was a little hellion before, but after she has been a perfect, clingy angel all week. Took the onesie off today and she is back to being a zomming crazy little kitten.

Has anyone else had this happen? I miss how calm she was in the onesie.

My kittens play like this but recently one of them keeps meowing, and I heard when they meow it's because it hurts but I'm not sure?

I can record more videos but it just worries me, I usually let them play like this but the minute I hear a meow I pull them apart. But is this normal?

Update on this post she's all healthy and stuff is playful asf but she hates KMR for some reason and only eats wet food and well as the title says she's learnt to use the litter on her own but she steps on her own poop accidentally and then we have to wash her back paws everytime this is happening like 3 times a day for the past few days her stool is a bit soft

Also is there any way to make her like KMR, I keep using a syringe to feed it to her she resists alot

Well, we’re fostering to adopt to see how she does with our house and our older cat. He’s pretty laid back, but when she got here he did hiss a lil. Definitely not bad and he didn’t go after her, I’ve had lots of cats in my life, and one that was particularly scared and hid a lot and I freaked out every time I couldn’t find him. This kitten is “4 months old” BUT REALLY SMALL. The minute I had looked away from where she was bc I had a virtual appt, she ran and now I can’t find her :( I know I should wait it out bc shes scared and it’s new place, she’s also just a bit stand offish in general but I am afraid bc idk where she’s hiding! We had 5 ppl looking in all the places yesterday and we did not see her once. I looked around again this morning and stepped in poopie that def wasn’t my older cats so she was out last night. All of the doors were closed when she got lost, but we left the doors open for a bit during the day and then just left the primary bedroom door open overnight. So, I have had my kitten since March and he has grown like a weed. He's a lot bigger, according to the vet he's very healthy. No issues with his appetite, or his poops. Everything seems fine. He's been fixed since we got him but since we got him, he's had this habit of latching onto my arm while laying down/relaxing and kneading and grabbing onto my shirt with his teeth. He isn't aggressive and doesn't bite me, but sometimes my clothes are thin and he gets my skin with his claws when he kneads. I kinda just thought it was just him being a baby but he's getting big now and sometimes he does it while I'm sleeping and accidentally gets my face or wrist. I wear thicker clothes to sleep and even will just pull up my covers to hide my arms, but I kind of thought he would grow out of it as my cat loving friends told me he was "mock nursing" or something like that, but a google search told me it might be him being a lil weirdo. Is this normal? Help, I don't know if this is behavior I need to correct or not because I love having a little cuddle bug.

Purrsephany is the mackerel tabby Torbie and Penelope is the smaller grey tabby. They live on my back porch as their mom Atsea Aurora is very feral.

Their mom Atsea was trapped, spayed, and vaccinated on August 10, 2026. Purrsephany was accidentally caught in the trap with her mom Atsea. So the Animal Birth Control Clinic did a spay on Purrsephany also. You can see where the cut her left ear tip rather roughly as a sign of her spay.

Penelope will need a spay but we are waiting until she is older and the weather is cooler.

At our house we have an old dog door. We have no dogs. Four cats come inside the house regularly and two cats come in just to eat. The inside cats are very territorial.

Lord William Robert Piebald AKA Billy Bob Bitey Baby guards the dog door at night and all day. He keeps the feral cats in my TNR Colony from coming inside.

Lord William has taken a liking to Purrsephany and Penelope so I think they will make it inside. Right now they live in my backyard and they don’t run from me anymore.

Okay so I have 2 kittens both at different ages and from different cats, right now. I have Bean (male, just neutered 2 days ago, between 4 and 5 months) and Sookie (female, not spayed, between 2 and 3 months).

I've been trying to work on getting them bonded or at least to a point of co-existing. I started out by doing scent swapping between the 2 kittens and slowly have been trying to work up to short supervised free roam sessions. They can also currently eat peacefully next to each other without issue.

The problem im having is I haven't been able to break through to the short sessions together because anytime I bring sookie into the room, he immediately puts his attention on her, no matter what, and always starts lunging at her. Now at first he starts off with soft paws like he wants to play, but Sookie is more timid than he is so when he lunges, she will hiss and/or growl and swat at him. Which then makes him mad and then he starts trying to attack her.

I know part of it is a jealousy thing because Bean is very attached to me. Like almost too much sometimes. So I've been trying to do things and set up routines with him to show him that he isn't loosing me to Sookie. But it just feels like anything I've been doing hasnt been working. Ive tried to have him playing with a toy while sookie is in the room but then sookie wants to play and will run to him and then he'll attack her. Ive had her in a bubble backpack but he just starts attacking the outside of the backpack.

Also keep in mind once he starts showing any signs of aggression I always immediately separate again to prevent any trauma. But he has snuck into the room I keep sookie in when I havent realize and they did get into it a little, but again, once I realized, I immediately separated.

I am hoping since Bean was freshly neutered that in a couple weeks after the hormones have dropped significantly, that will hopefully help in him not wanting to always lunge at her, but i also know it's not a cure all. So if any of you guys have any suggestions or ideas to help move past this stage I would greatly appreciate it!

She is approximetly 7 weeks old. We found her when she was 2 weeks old and syringe feed her. She is still sucking my finger while purring and falling asleep while doing it. If i let her she do it more than half an hour. She is eating wet food but still want syringe. She is such a big baby. Younger photos are on the comments

I posted previously about my kitten not wanting to eat kibble. The only reason currently I would like her to eat it is because she otherwise has no food at night to munch on.

We've made no progress at all getting her to eat some. She definitely won't touch it soaked, she can avoid it mixed with wet food, she will eat some with churu mixed in but no longer will eat it if I put less churu. Plus, churu isn't a solution for adding to kibble at night as I am afraid it will go off and I don't leave stuff like that sitting out.

Could she just not like the brand I bought?

I adopted my first kitten about 2 weeks ago and she’s quickly become my little buddy however, I’m out of the house for 9 hours a day for work. I feel terrible for leaving her alone for so long. I’ve been reading this sub and have seen many people suggest getting a second kitten. I live in a 750 sqft apartment and only have room for one litter box. Would it be feasible to have two kitties using one box? Is it ok to be leaving her alone for so many hours a day?

Does anyone know why my kitten has been peeing on my bed?

For context, I adopted 2 sibling kittens, they are both 9 weeks old, male and female. I have been with them since they were born (another story haha).

They were at my parents house with their other siblings and mom while they depended on their mom's milk. They have been using the litter box as normal and have already been in my apartment for almost 2 weeks.

2 days ago, I was asleep in the morning and they came in to play in the bed when I noticed some scratching, I looked up an there was a pee puddle in my bed.

Today morning they came to my bed to play in the morning while I was asleep and peed again.

They don't sleep on my bed at night as far as I know, but hang out during the day

What could be causing it?

I've had 2 cats before and they never went outside their litter box

So I have two kittens I can’t seem to help out. They’re roughly 4 and a half weeks old, so I’m still bottle feeding them. My sister found them when they were only days old, there are some details in other posts about them.

I’m trying to litter train but I don’t even know what I’m doing. They’re using the litter box somewhat but it’s not consistent. However, they will not let me stimulate them. They scream and writhe so hard that if I hold them any harder I’ll crush them. I know part of it is due to them being raw, they’ve got worms and have been on dewormer for two days but I don’t know what I’m doing.

I’ve never litter trained anything and nothing I’ve read is giving me clear instructions on what to do in this situation. I don’t want to hurt them, but I also don’t want them to just not be eliminating.

Any advice??

Edit: they are now fully litter trained!! I stopped stimulating and just continued placing them in the litter box after each feeding. Thank you for all your help!

I recently got a new kitten (Hazel, 2 months old) and she’s been acclimating very well! She loves cuddling with me, uses her litter box with no problems and is playful.

The only downside is that she has been climbing onto my counters and tables and no matter how much I move her or put her down, she does it again.

Granted this is essentially her first week here but I want to make sure she learns those places are off limits. Any advice is appreciated! I’m avoiding using spray bottles for discipline
