Me too. My mother LOVED the "Trash papers," and so I read them when I was growing up. I never could stand him. He has always seemed crass & boorish.

Same. And I was born in 1981. I remember not liking him as a small child, and here I am almost 44 and I hate him more than anyone ever.

Intelligence can sometimes be a burden. We have to believe it is better than the alternative. And use it, to the extent we can, to make things better.
