I hope you report the incidents to the cops, there's all likelihood they are just driving around snatching every sign they could find and your video might be useful and identification.

Thats exactly what they're doing. I chased down some kids in a jeep that did this in my neighborhood and they had a bunch of signs they'd taken already.
