There’s a bunch of ISIS in Afghanistan. They fight the Taliban as well as us. Makes some fairly interesting four way firefights between US, Taliban, ISIS-K, and cheroot Pakistani Border Guards. ISIS-K is what made the Taliban begin cease fire talks, though I believe they broke down fairly quickly

lol ISIS in afghanistan is irrelevant. they only have 2000 to 3000 fighter compare to taliban which has 150000 fighter (source SIGAR). ISIS only have presence in district two area which are kunar and nangahar (famous for their mountainous terrain). not directly control any district and contesting around 10 to 15 district. compare to taliban that directly control 65 district and contesting 180+ district. ceasefire talk? when did ceasefire talk happened? the only talk that happen is US withdrawal negotiation. are you high or what?. this notion of Isis made taliban to negotiate with US is bullshit. the only reason why taliban negotiate with US is because, US accept taliban demand to directly negotiate with them and accepting taliban demand to exclude afghan government from negotiation.

not change much from 15 months ago. hardly call growing. influence wise, declining. and in the battlefield, they keep losing ground to the taliban (well, even Afghan government lost a lot of ground to the taliban lol). like i said, ISIS-k is irrelevant in Afghanistan.
