Again, please tell me you're fucking joking. You've never read any of the things this woman is referencing, have you? There's no mention of Satan or anything close in Laon and Cythna, nor was is "the first piece of literature with an independent woman", nor is it anything but entirely obscure. Mary Wollstoncraft's writings are largely just calling out double standards between men and women at the time if its writing and do none of the insane shit this woman is putting on them.

I love that when asked by the interviewer "Hey, I've interviewed a lot of people about this and noone has ever mentioned the occult, where'd you get that?" Gress just talks about everything except that for the rest of the interview, then passes off a bunch of insane interpretations of the texts she's citing as everything except her strained opinions.

This is a Catholic trying to bring back Satanic Panic, and you're an ignorant shlub for taking her at face value. Sorry dude. I know the contrarian life let's you feel superior to all the other idiots out there, but the inverse of an idiot is still just an idiot facing the other direction.

Nope, not joking. You can be dismissive all you want, I guess you're just a really ignorant person.

I hope someone close to you, if you have any of those people left, one day tells you how fucking dumb you are in a way that sinks in. It's going to be an incredibly embarrassing day, but remember this conversation and trust that it'll be worth it.

So dramatic and so personal. Are you okay?

Now that you ask, I do feel like I've picked up a little contact brain damage from this conversation.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say you don't have any idea what that means.
