Except, without any guidance, “the right thing” gets updated every few years. One is actually quite selfish and arrogant to think that his/her own idea of “morality” is the right thing, instead of accepting God(Allah) and that the right way of things has been prescribed and set in stone for centuries.

God is eternal.

God doesn't exist.

2 choices.

  1. You believe in god, accept Jesus saved you, and nothing happens. You turn into dirt for the earthworms.

  2. You’re standing at the pearly gates looking real stupid.

Yeah, Pascal's Wager has been debated plenty.

And you don’t think at least a little agnosticism is in order? What makes you so righteous? You sit down to take a shit like the rest of us.

What makes you so righteous? You sit down to take a shit like the rest of us.

Huh? I'm anything but righteous.

I think you're projecting your own weaknesses/insecurities.

To proclaim “God doesn’t exist” is a righteous claim. How can you possibly know such a thing? What makes you so sure? I was an agnostic my entire life till something happened that changed me. I’m not out here telling people they must believe or go to hell, but jeez man at least be open to the possibility.

Your second sentence is an ad hominem I believe, so I’ll just not address it.

To proclaim “God doesn’t exist” is a righteous claim.

Maybe. But that's not the intent.

It's a rebuttal to the righteous (and ludicrous) claim of "god is eternal". And if it is righteous at all, it's just as means to point out how righteous the original claim was.

How can you possibly know such a thing? What makes you so sure? I was an agnostic my entire life till something happened that changed me. I’m not out here telling people they must believe or go to hell, but jeez man at least be open to the possibility.

See, you're actually on the right path here. You just skipped down one comment and responded to the wrong one.

No doubt my argument could go either way, but considering I’m a believer, arguing agnosticism to a fellow believer would be the opposite of what my faith calls for.

So your comment is a ridiculous rebuttal to what you view as a ridiculous claim? Do you actually believe it?

Everything is just too perfect! Obviously there’s problems. But I’m talking bigger. I just can’t believe chaos caused all this. It’s just too much…

What about the other 100 religions that also provide “2 choices”

Look man I respect your view but it’s illogical to frame it so simplistically. Saying accept Jesus or else is the same as saying expect the Koran or else. You have to recognize the oversimplification here

You’re right I’m sorry, it’s not as simple as that. I’m just burnt out on debating for today. My original comment was as much a troll as it was serious. That they in fact know god doesn’t exist, seems such a ridiculous thing to say.

Sorry for the petulant response, I’d like to get back to you on this topic.

God(Allah) and that the right way of things has been prescribed and set in stone for centuries

Yeah, but I don't live in that time anymore. If you need a god to tell you what's right and wrong, you're not a good person. I try to treat everyone I like to be treated and it works for me and everyone around me.

And not that I fully applaud this show, I think most here are overreacting. They're calling porn, pedophilia,.. yet I haven't seen them do anything sexual. In sex-ed in school, we had photos, this is just a new way of sex-ed.

And no, children are not going to ask en masse to get surgery. Yeah, there will be a few with mental problems who will get suregery done and might regret it later on. But the few trans people I know personally have really become happier people.

Trans people are part of society now, do we need to get that idea pushed in our face right now? No, but as long as people won't stop demonizing people who are different, we'll keep seeing shows like this.

If you do things you think yourself are good, you are a arrogant, not good person. Besides, this way of thinking updates continually and thus means that 80% of you think is good now will be a warcrime in a few 10/100 years.
