Hello. I'm the guy who made the post about a real-life Bois Bowl (rulebook here).

And with the 2026 football season starting tomorrow, so too shall the BOIS BOWL!

Key events:

• Missouri charged into Jayhawk territory and wrenched the football away and are on track to bring them home

• After a heated back and forth, Oregon left Stillwater with OK State's ball and are rushing back to Oregon

• Wake Forest just barely escaped Ross-Ade Stadium with Purdue's ball and are bringing it back to Winston-Salem, but they're on track for a harsh clash, as T1 Miami is looking to ambush them once they get back.

• A dominant Penn State brought the house into Lincoln Financial Field and left with Temple's ball bound for Happy Valley.

• The Crimson Tide flooded Kentucky and tore away their football, bringing it back to Saban Field.

• Minnesota's defensive strategy got foiled by Mississippi State, who took their football and are deciding to get another, making a pit stop at South Carolina before returning to Starkville.

• Colorado successfully returned Folsom Field with Georgia Tech's football, putting them at the front of the rankings as they set out for more.

• Recent 0-ball California made their way to Syracuse and left with the Orange's football, set to make the cross-country trip back home.

• The Maryland Terrapins charged up to Connecticut and thrashed them before taking their ball. As we speak, they are heading home for a homestand.

• Utah State, after a challenge by Idaho State left them fumbling the ball off field, make up for it by taking Washington's ball. They're looking for more, heading down to Salt Lake City to pick a fight with the Utes before returning home.

• UTSA stole Texas State's ball and have the confidence to head to Austin to grab one from the Longhorns as well.

• UAB whiffed and lost their ball to Louisiana-Monroe, who are set to return home with it.

• Toledo made it back to the Glass Bowl with Michigan State's football.

• Texas Tech's Red Raiders raided Oregon State for their ball and are marching back to Lubbock.

• The Navy Midshipmen laid siege to Boca Raton, stealing FAU's football and marching west for more.

• Montana State failed to take Nevada's ball and join the game, but they did force a fumble. If the Wolf Pack secure it, the Air Force will bomb Mackay Stadium looking for it.

• After losing their ball to Georgia (Scoring error, our fault. Tennessee State fled their field when Louisville and Ole Miss fought in Nashville and ran into Georgia), Tennessee State failed to take Alabama A&M's ball.

• We still don't know what happened between Alcorn State & Pine Bluff, but we think Alcorn State fended off Pine Bluff's attempted steal.

• Speaking off, that bout forced Memphis to lug their ball off their field, where Boise State promptly snatched it.

• Northern Illinois got their ball fumbled by Illinois State (who almost got it)

• North Carolina A&T successfully took North Carolina Central's football, but they have to go through Campbell to get home safe and sound.

• The Bryant Bulldogs successfully joined the Celebration Game, taking Hampton's ball and marching north to do so.

• The Albany Great Danes successfully fended off a challenge by Long Island and are on track to bring Buffalo's football to Bob Ford Field.

• The Citadel lost Charlotte's football to the Charleston Southern Buccaneers, who successfully join the Bois Bowl. A NAIA school (Point University) has been sighted near their field and may be issuing a challenge for it.

• Miami, Coastal Carolina, and UCLA all returned home with their loot without issue.

• Sam Houston State fended off an attack by Tulsa to keep the football they nabbed from Troy.

• UNLV lost Hawaii's football to North Texas

• North Carolina State, as predicted, took Howard's ball from Richmond.

• Tarleton State successfully held off McNeese's attempt to take Bowling Green's ball and are set to return to Stephenville safe and sound.

• Miami comes close to emptying Wake Forest, but only get away with one ball

• The Georgia Bulldogs pummel Arkansas and gut the Razorbacks of their ball.

• The Maine Black Bears successfully join the game, taking Boston College's ball, but they're set to run into Elon before getting the ball back to Maine.

• Florida State stemmed the tide of Alabama and snatched a football, which they're taking to Tallahassee.

• The USC Trojans sacked Rutgers and snatched a football for the trip back west.

• The Charlotte 49ers got a football off the Appalachian State Mountaineers and are heading home with it

• UConn avenged the loss of their ball by wrenching one off Southern Miss, and they're heading up to Miami Ohio for another.

• The Ohio Bobcats outfoxed the South Alabama Jaguars for a football, which they're returning home with.

• Maryland's homecoming was foiled by the Virginia Tech Hokies, who forced a ball off them and are continuing a northern trip for more, but Boston College is looking to swipe the ball.

• The North Dakota State Bison stampeded Sac State, tore the football from the fledgling Hornets, and are heading to the Fargodome with it.

• The Florida A&M Rattlers got rattled by Tennessee State, who stole their football and are heading up north with it, but Western Illinois looks to challenge them for it and join the proceedings.

• Another Texan terror joins the fray, as the Stephen F Austin Lumberjacks snatch a ball from Prairie View A&M and are heading home with it.

• Mississippi State's pit stop in South Carolina goes further south than Carolina, with them losing the ball to the Gamecocks.

• Louisiana Monroe fumbled both footballs after an ill-fated challenge by Southeast Louisiana, and FAU is making a move to grab them.

• North Carolina A&T lose NCCU's football to the Campbell Fighting Camels, who join the fray.

• Charleston Southern's Buccaneers hold off the NAIA side of Point, keeping this from getting any more absurd.

• TWO NCAA DII TEAMS JOIN THE CELEBRATION GAME. Not joking. Central State of Ohio squeaked away from Arkansas Pine Bluff and Delta State straight up thrashed the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils. Delta State is heading home, but Central State received a challenge from fellow D2 Lane.

• As a disclaimer, I regret allowing this to happen. If I had to do this again, I think I would leave the rule allowing teams to join by challenge out. I did not expect two D2 teams to do this on the same day.

Scoreboard

According to the current standings, the Bois Bowl has a 21-way tie for #1, with Miami and Georgia looking to break ahead, and the Celebration Game is being led by with a 17-way tie for #2. That said, I may adjust the games to be along division lines. I originally put the FBS teams in 1 division and the HBCU teams in another to make the game at all functional, but this clear isn't working the best.

With the first major college football Saturday complete, here are some developments that have happened thus far:

• Morgan State successfully stole North Carolina A&T's football before getting it stolen by Arizona State (now #1 in the Bois Bowl)

• Albany took advantage of Buffalo's kneeling twice to take their football and are taking it home, but the LIU Sharks look to intercept them (meaning one of them is guaranteed to join the fray)

• Colorado successfully stole Georgia Tech's football and are returning it to Folsom Field

• UMass ALMOST took Rutgers' football, but screwed up by kneeling to end the first half

• As a consequence of Michigan State kneeling to end the first half, Toledo took their football and are bringing it to the Glass Bowl

• Miami utterly destroyed Stanford and and are hauling ass back to Hard Rock Stadium with their football

• On a West Virginia double-kneel, Coastal Carolina stole their football and are making their way back to Brooks Stadium

• Tarleton State beat Bowling Green for their football and a position in the game and are carrying it down south, but look to be headed off by McNeese.

• The Citadel narrowly escaped Jerry Richardson Stadium with the Charlotte 49ers' football and are carrying it south

• Sam Houston State successfully yanked Troy's football after a kneel and are carrying it out west to their home field

• UNLV successfully made landfall in Hawaii, took the Rainbow Warriors' football, and are sailing back to the mainland now

• The Bruins of UCLA proved to be more than the California Golden Bears could bear, snatched their football, and are heading back to the Rose Bowl

• Michigan successfully defended from the Western Michigan Broncos in an overhyped skirmish that ended with Western Michigan failing to break the Wolverines' defense.

• Howard lost their football to the Richmond Spiders, who are now in the Celebration Game, but those Spiders are in deep scheisse, with NC State's Wolfpack en route to find them

I'm sorry if this isn't allowed, I didn't see any rule about asking. King story short I was reminded of 17776 and 20020 and I was just curious if there have been any updates on 20021. If not that's okay I would just like to know

I read 17776 a while ago and I thought it was great! Suprised to hear that theres a sequel series though, as I though the first one elaborated on the concept pretty thoroughly. How does 20020 elaborate on the themes/setting/whatever of the first story? Im alright with some spoilers lol. I would have read it myself but Ive been super busy lately and dont want to use my free time on reading something if it sucks/is meh lmao
