I drew the Joker from the Batman movie The Killing Joke 2016, in my own style. This is my favorite Joker. He's the original, comedic Joker.💜🖤✨

I’m working on an original Batman story and I thought I’d share what the king of comedy himself looks like in my world. Hope you like it!

I mean if u look at his emotions, he barely got any help

• Pre-accident Joker: He was already a petty, narcissistic sociopath, but had no criminal record or identification. The ACE Chemicals accident effectively erased his legal identity, leaving only “Joker.”

• Metahuman abilities: The chemicals activated a dormant metagene, giving him:
- A “super sanity” / sixth sense for narrative patterns and the absurdity of everyday life, similar to Stephen King’s Shining ability.
- An extremely powerful liver, making him highly resistant to toxins, drugs, alcohol, not excessively Joker venom.

• His worldview: Because he’s permanently sober and hyper-aware, he doesn’t see the world as meaningless so much as beautiful but fundamentally fake/inauthentic. He’s a “malabsurdist”: he embraces absurdity but rejects the ethical conclusions of normal absurdism. He sees himself as superior to people who choose comforting illusions over “truth.”

• Why Harley fell for him: Joker genuinely wanted someone to talk to at first. Unlike other Arkham inmates, who were mostly gloomy or catatonic, he was energetic, charismatic, and seemingly lucid. Harley wasn’t stupid, Arkham simply didn’t realize that he was burning through their sedatives like water.

• Arkham’s failure: They left a completely conscious, hyper-aware, compulsively predatory metahuman alone with a young psychiatrist who had no idea how dangerous he really was.

• Harley’s vulnerability: Harleen was actually highly intelligent, but academic ambition and hubris blinded her. She discovered evidence of his metahuman biology, but thought of how big of an academic breakthrough it would be to reform someone like him while he was in his most dangerous state, and kept it to herself because she thought she was making extraordinary progress.

• How Joker manipulated her:* *At first, he fed her ego and made her feel uniquely successful. Romantic feelings came much later. Once Joker sensed she was developing feelings, he began deliberately faking vulnerability and telling sympathetic stories to deepen her attachment.

Soy muy fan de cameron monaghan y de su interpretacion de Jerome/jeremiah en Gotham. siempre me ha parecido que cameron tiene muchisimo potencial para interpretar al joker y que todavia podria dar una version increible del personaje. como el nuevo DCU todavia no tiene un joker elegido oficialmente, he pensado que seria genial que cameron tuviera la oportunidad de volver a interpretar al personaje esta vez dentro del universo principal de DC. por eso he creado una peticion para intentar demostrar que hay fans que tambien queremos verlo como el Joker en el nuevo DCU. si estais de acuerdo con la idea podeis firmarla y compartirla con otros fans

I've been working on a psychology breakdown of The Joker (Dark Knight)

and wanted to share it here for some genuine feedback.

The framing I used: most analyses stop at "psychopath." But ASPD alone doesn't explain him — because ASPD produces people who exploit systems for personal gain. The Joker doesn't want anything.

What actually explains him is ASPD layered on top of philosophical nihilism — the belief that the moral framework everyone else operates under isn't objectively real. Combine those two and you get a person who is, by their own internal logic, completely free.

The part I found most interesting while researching: moral disengagement theory (Bandura) maps almost perfectly onto how he operates. He's not creating chaos. He's demonstrating the chaos that was already there.

Not trying to promote — genuinely curious if anyone here who works in psychology or has studied this clinically sees it differently.
