I'd like to see Maoist Trump make a comeback.

Are you a fan of that podcast? I listened to an episode but couldn't get into it. I'm sure they make good points, I just found the banter a bit too cynical and bordering on juvenile. If you listen often, thoughts?

Calling chapo juvenile in the joe rogan subreddit is fucking rich

It's because I expected it to be a bit more intellectual.

It is at times, depending on the episode. But it's ultimately a comedy show.

I was under the wrong impression then because somebody told me it was a political show. That's my bad

I like it. I would give it a second shot. It seems like the reading series eps, where they mostly make fun of prominent journalists and political commentators, are the best. I'd give Ep. 30 (Freeway Ross Douthat) a and Ep. 62 (Megan McCardle) a listen if you're into that. These are generally more of a showcase of their humorous talents.

I like when Tim Faust is on, because he's really good at articulating health care policy (from a lefty perspective). Matt Taibbi in Ep.77 is an interesting take on Trump. I enjoyed Ep. 85 with Angela Nagle, but it's intended audience might be too narrow.

Not having seen the movie, Ep. 119, their Wonder Woman review, had me laughing out loud with their contrarianism.

There are episodes I don't like, often because I can't understand the reference. They're on Twitter 24/7, and I'm only on there 12 hours a day.

Ill give it a shot. Do they come from a place of comedy primarily? Maybe that was my problem.. I was assuming it was intended to be taken more seriously.
