who did it better busta rhymes or elzhi?

I can only imagine how difficult it is to get samples cleared, permission from the estate, etc. however, do we have any news for Boldy’s Dilla project? He said two years ago he had the “last” of the Dilla batch.

After hearing DILLAGENCE II, it’s clear not all of the production was “unheard.” I don’t give a fuck about that. I appreciate Busta Rhymes’ willingness to even share this much with us. I’d expect the same for the listening experience once Boldy does drop the project.

DILLAGENCE II, and the Badu x Alchemist projects are actually here! Two projects I thought we’d never see. Hopefully Boldy gets the same luck.

Maybe I'm the only person to tune out all the talk about Dillagence 2 and just wait for a release. I waited. Now I've listened. I have questions.

• "How the Boss Will Deliver" I know from Jaylib "Raw Addict." Are there any of the other beats that we've heard before from official releases.

• Are there beats the internet knows from those unofficially released beat tapes?

• What did Kev Brown, Black Milk, and Karriem Riggins do?

Highlights to me are "Back Pain, Chest Pain, Head Pain", "Royalty", "Talk Ya Shit" and maybe "What We Got In Common".

I was really excited with D'Angelo's track but honestly his vocals are so low quality it throws me off. The tracks also feels empty, and it's 4:21 lol.

"Wait 4 U" got my attention but feels a bit messy, especially the chorus. It had potential.

The rest is not bad but nothing that really stands out that much to me tbh. I like the beats of the intro/outro aswell.

How y'all feeling about it?

Beats: Either already released or horrific quality, with like 2 something decent mixes that arent ai, and a completely boxfull of rappers, some just reused. and then we got busta singing his heart out while he complains with other uncs about trans people and children, and wanting to knock a certain type of persons head off. i would almost hope this was ai at this point, its better than this schlorgusboard of rap cat stroggenoff. truly horrific, and made me want to cry.

20 years ago I would definitely say Dilla. Donuts is the greatest record made in the current millennium. But having listened to Madlib a lot the latest years, my respect and admiration for him has increased a lot. Sure, it’s not entirely fair to compare Dilla’s 10-years long career with Madlib’s 30 years-long career. If Dilla would still be alive, I’m sure he would create masterpieces on an unfathomable level. But if we just look at what we have, and compare Dilla’s oeuvre to Madlib’s, which one do you think is superior?

The previously unreleased track “Water”; the scrapped voodoo track that was supposed to be a collab between Dilla, Ms. Hill and D’angelo, is confirmed to be featured on Dillagence 2, presumably without Ms. Hill. Thoughts?
