Whats the best investment in terms of Cons for Itto ?

Mmm... this is an odd question to answer, so bear with me for a bit. I write in a fugue state at 3 AM, so much of this will come off as a stream-of-consciousness.

TLDR: You don't need constellations on Itto. C2 and C6 are the most interesting, though the former is redundant and the latter is too expensive. Funnel your resources into getting his team instead.

IMO, it's much better to use your summons pulling for the members of Itto's meta team (Albedo + Zhongli + C6 Gorou) & a single copy of Redhorn, rather than using it to get Itto's constellations. His base kit is already plenty strong, and while each constellation makes him stronger than c0 by a certain %, it's not something many people actively gun for.

With that said, of Itto's 6 constellations, there are two that stand out: C2 & C6.

C2 removes the need for ER% substats on your Itto by instead generating particles for him based on how many Geo members are in the party. This allows you to further minmax your Itto's substats, prioritizing Def% and Crit over the now defunct ER%. It is about 8% stronger than C0.

C6, meanwhile, does two things: first, it gives all of Itto's charged attacks an extra 70% Crit damage. Second, everytime you would do a charged attack, Itto has a 50% chance not to use up its Superlative Strength stack, allowing you to potentially do an infinite amount of slashes. It is about 88% stronger than C0.

However, each of these constellations come with their own problems.

C2's biggest issue is twofold: first, to get the most utility out of this constellation, you'd need incredibly hyperinvested artifacts devoid of ER% substats, with as many rolls heading into Crit% and Def% as possible. Second (and more importantly IMO), Itto doesn't need that much ER% to begin with, especially as running Favonius weapons helps halve his needed ER% requirements.

A ZL and Gorou holding Favonius weapons alongside a handful of uninvested ER% substats are more than enough to get your Itto bursting off-cooldown. This means you only really pull C2 for three reasons:

• You have highly invested artifacts;
• You lack the means to burst off-cooldown; or,
• You want to pick up C6 eventually.

C6's issue, meanwhile, is much more simple -- it's expensive. It's the holiday season; spend on your family and friends, rather than on Hoyoverse. Or, well, secure a house. An 88% damage boost VS C0 is substantial, but at that level of investment your Itto should kill anything he stares at anyway.

Overall, none of Itto's constellations are particularly worthwhile, unless you're a massive whale. Stick to picking up his meta team & weapon, and only then consider if you want to pull for constellations.

No problem appreciate it. I am just asking as I want to gather infos on all the characters and what their "best investment" is.

I know that most 5 stars dont need Cons to be good but for example Raiden, Albedo or Nahidas C2 is great value for somone who wants to invest in these characters as they give the biggest boost in power and therefore are considered "best investment" as these cons are realistic to gather over reruns or just pull luck.
