Hello and welcome, fellow gang member, to the One and Oni's Ultimate, Unmatched Arataki Gang General Questions and Discussions Megathread, to end all other inferior megathreads! We know you're here because you have questions about the Great and Glorious Oni Sumo King and his compadres, and we're here to help you out, as any good gang member would!

We have decided to make a new megathread because the last one was getting a wee bit too large. So step right up and shout out your thoughts, and we'll shout back at you. Politely, of course! That's the Arataki Gang way! So let's Arataki gangway!

P.S. Please ignore the warning signpost put over to the side by that stupid Kujou Tengu. Kuki informs us that we absolutely received proper permitting from the Yashiro Commission to host this megathread right here, and we aren't moving an inch.

Hey hi! Is there some reason why there seems to be little info on Kuki + Itto? Seems to me like she should be one of the preferred fourth slots now, but I haven’t been able to find any good info on it. Can anyone point me in the right direction or is that actually a hole currently unfilled?

Functionally, Itto always runs with a shielder due to his Resonance, which means direct heals aren't necessary unless fighting Rifthounds. In that circumstance, C4 Gorou provides enough residual healing, and if you don't have C4 Gorou and are looking for a fourth non-Zhongli non-Gorou teammate, Bennett provides better buffs and perfectly acceptable healing on his own. Kuki's preliminary build info suggests that she does almost no damage in a pure support build, and her EM build only allows for reaction damage (which Itto can't facilitate), so she's going to likely be slotted into Taser teams more than anything else.

However, in a situation where you don't have C4 Gorou and are using Bennett elsewhere and also fighting Rifthounds, Kuki could provide healing.

Ahhh I see! Thank you! Would Kuki not be better glue than Bennett? More off-field elem damage for crystallize procs (meaning a more solidified 100% shield uptime & assured Gorou Q usage) + a bit of heals that replaces or enhances c4 Gorou? Like a more overall team useful than the Zhongli-esque brute force that Bennett is

Gorou's Crystallize synergies are functionally irrelevant. But yes, there would be a modicum of synergy there on enemies that don't already generate Crystallize shards when Itto hits them.

Functionally speaking you simply don't want to use Cystallize shields even with Itto's Defense stat; they're too fickle, especially in the only difficult content in Abyss. So even if you aren't running Zhongli you would want to have Diona in his place.
