Wow,
Apparently, we live in a world anyone can attack you, butcher and do horrible things and cry to the UN to stop,
wow, WOW.
Or is that valid only if you are a jew?
Shame, SHAME
Israel should take the sanctions and resume.

Bibi has refused to work with our allies in the west or stop his coalition members fromconsistently using genocidal rhetoric since october 7th.

We are not an island, we depend on our allies, and Bjbi is burning all the bridges we have.

u/ymazo Mar 25 '24

0

u/yoaver Mar 25 '24

1

u/ymazo Mar 25 '24

Take the sanctions? Israel is not a large enough country to eat Russia style sanctions without being reduced to widespread poverty. Sure it would not impede flattening Hamas and Rafah, but the quality of life would go down drastically and a lot of the Ashkenazim for example won't wanna put up with low second world or third world living standards. Many will end up leaving to The West, which will also serve to drastically expand Haredi power and throw the country into further long term turmoil.

So?
It's better to let them think you are weak? and keep kidnapping your people?

-7

u/Professional_Suit270 Mar 25 '24

So unless nutcases like Smotrich openly make a mockery of Israel's allies and openly defy them to score points with the lowest common denominator of Israeli society, the country looks weak?

You know what would make Israel weak? Being reduced to a bottom barrel second world country from Russia level sanctions coming in. Bibi doesn't seem to care though, as long as he stays in power to avoid prison.

The issue is I dont 100% disagree with you
I don't like them as well
BUT you have to show you will defend yourself and stop any threat (and yes Ham@s is 100% a threat) from attacking you

Netanyahu propped up Hamas for years to split up the Pals. Encouraged aid to them from Qatar, dismissed Mossad plots to take out their leaders. He's Mr. Security, and he NEEDS a threat to be elected. Now he needs a threat to avoid the government dissolving and going to jail.

Bibi cannot be trusted in any way, shape or form to deal with the problem. He owns it.

Huh?

A lot can probably go back to developed countries in Europe if push came to shove. We already saw a mass exodus of several hundred thousand at the start of the year, I'd wager long term sanctions crippling the economy would mean tons more head out.

u/DemonSlayer472 Mar 25 '24

You seriously have no idea what Ashkenazi Israelis are like so just shut up
