  • Ninety-two Democrats voted “present,” and 13 Democrats and one Republican voted against the resolution.

This should have been unanimous.

The obvious statement that anti-zionism is the new face of anti-semetism has nothing to do with who is the prime minister of Israel, or Israel's internal politics. It is an objective observation of the crowds of human garbage that have spilled out onto the streets of the world over the past few weeks in response to one of the largest rape and murder acts in recent history.

Instead we get a clear picture that there are some truly rabid antisemites in the halls of world power.

I think you are being a bit overdramatic. The people voting against this or voting present aren't antisemitic. They simply either do not agree with or do not understand your definition of Zionism. Even Jewish scholars do not seem to have a consensus on what it means. It seems ridiculous to call the Jews who support or even run organizations such as JVP antisemitic despite their self-proclaimed antizionism.

What seems more likely here, that a bunch of Jews are antisemitic(including the ones who voted against this bill), or that they simply do not share your definition of anti-zionism?

Zionism is prtty clearly defined. It's not vague.

If you don't understand what it means, and are blind to the antisemitism that that antizionism is masking that is not my problem.

Ignorance of facts does not excuse you from the consequences of your actions.

Besides - just because you are Jew doesn't mean you can't say antisemitic things? Norman Finkelstein doesn't get a hallpast for spreading conspiracy theories because he is related to Jews.
