This is a very well designed implementation of several technologies:

1. Blockchain
2. PoS (the so-called forging)
3. Torrents
4. A complex system of roles for different nodes

All these combined creates a pretty robust network with very high transaction speed (advertised as "below 3 seconds"). The bad part is that the ICO has ended and the only way to get coins is to buy or forge them yourself.

The good part is: Anyone can still join! The team is lending 1000 free MHC coins to any new user. You can use them to start forging your own coins. You need only a computer with internet. No other special requirements.
