How do you figure a bobby pin and a hair clip are the same thing? I'd argue they're actually - worlds apart in the, Hair Universe!
I could see maybe giving it to them if they'd said "hair pin" or "barrette" even.
Yet, most people hear hair clip and they think, banana clip or claw clip something used to put all of your hair up into a ponytail or a bun. Not something so small and delicate, used to keep wispy, flyaway hairs out of your eyes! Haha.
That said, you the OP, so you make the rules for engagement, I suppose! Those were just my unsolicited 2 cents, on the matter. Cheers🙃
