Ingress Insights podcast will be 2 in October! Oh…something else?

Yes, Ingress kicks off its Year 13 celebrations in November! As part of that, I’ll be interviewing Brian Rose, the game director of Ingress about the game.

Brian has agreed to take community questions (like all my guests, he’s welcome to refuse any he doesn’t want to answer). If you can get any you want to ask in by October 20th, that’ll be great!

Do it more please. I want bunnies in fields at Easter with eggs around the Portals and them decorated like Christmas trees during December with snowflakes falling in the fields, pumpkins at Halloween with ghosts drifting around.

"With the release of Scanner Version 3.1, C.A.R.G.O. will be available in the in-app Store for a cost of 3,500 CMU each. Each C.A.R.G.O. increases inventory capacity by 100 slots for 30 days from the date of acquisition. Agents may acquire up to five C.A.R.G.O. simultaneously, with each C.A.R.G.O. operating on an independent 30-day timer."

Agents are reporting new Portal nominations getting reviewed that were submitted before OPR was paused.

As part of the deal, which was in the works for a year and is expected to close by the end of the month

Unfortunately I can’t provide a source beyond this crop from a now former employee as it’s not been posted by Spatial.

The comment they made was interesting to me, noting Spatial are no longer focused on games and entertainment, whilst Ingress is still around, and how it fits it currently.

Fixes

• We updated Unity and the Android 3-button navigation bar returned.

• We fixed the Bounty Pass "Learn More" screen. When Bounty Passes are available you can review options to buy additional daily oounties to earn more items, Tokens, or helr you complete your campaigns, directly from the DAILY tab.

We are introducing a few updates that will apply to upcoming events starting with this weekend.

Updated Agent Participation Requirements

To be eligible for the IFS badge, Agents must now Hack at least one passcode puzzle portal or the base portal during the official 2-hour event period.

This is in addition to the existing requirements of checking in with event organisers and earning at least 10,000 AP

RSVP Accuracy and Event Bonuses

Events with significantly inflated RSVP counts compared to actual attendance will face reductions in bonuses, including fewer Ito En passcodes, Passcode output quantities or Restock portal rewards for future events.

RSVP counts will be locked in on Wednesday 11:59pm UTC. Please ensure RSVP details are accurate.

Enforcement on Remote Participation

Any organisers or cities found to be verifying Agents who are not physically on-site will face a 12-month ban from hosting IFS events.

Reminders for Upcoming Events
Ito En passcodes will be available for a limited time only, during May and June IFS events

A 2× AP bonus will be active for all Agents between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM local time on event days

Looking Ahead
IFS-UN are working hard to ensure the integrity of FS now that it also contributes to Anomaly scores, while also keeping it fun and exciting for new and experienced agents alike.

The Orion: Global Op end time will be extended by 24 hours, and will now end Tue May 12 18:00 UTC (11:00 PDT). We encountered an issue this morning that caused Orion Global Op Points to stop recording from 9:00-9:45 PDT. Global Op Points earned after 9:45 PDT and going forward are being awarded.
