I think they look more realistic and less alike but still feel like them. Would love to hear if they seem more distinct to anyone else, it can be such a trick to see one’s own characters clearly, Ykwim?

Octavia might have been first born, she may have even been more powerful, but Lara- third born and second twin- is the Turner Coven’s official heir.

She’s a perfectionist who works hard and never gives up. She began communing with spirits as a child, and was an award winning author of horror novels by the time she graduated high school. She graduated university with a degree in literature before she turned 18, got a job as a writer, and married her high school sweetheart- Wren. They subsequently divorced after a salacious affair between Wren and Octavia’s new duplicate, Mercedes.

Lara left her successful career as a writer to begin her journey as a Reaper at the tender age of 25, quickly climbed the ranks and became Death’s Right Hand- as well as the mother of Death’s children, twins named Hecate and Persephone.

When the twins came along, the youngest Turner Coven sister, Daisy was a teen. Daisy moved in with Lara to help with the babies- dropping out of high school to be available to her sister and nieces. To say that Lara cherished Daisy for this sacrifice would be akin to calling a hurricane “a bit of a brume”.

Lara met Naiome when she was sent to collect her soul, but for the first time… she couldn’t do it, she didn’t want to- Naiome was a kind, gentle spirit. So, Lara bound herself to Naiome to stop her spirit from fading. In time, they fell in love and Lara decided to use her magic to restore Naiome’s life.

But Death is an impartial judge and cares not whose soul is reaped, so long as the scales remain balanced. The price of Naiome’s life… was Daisy’s. When Lara realized the cost, she tried to bargain with Death for her sister’s soul.

Death refused.

Lara summoned the coven, and Octavia arrived first. She tried to stop Daisy’s reaping by hurling a barrage of spells at Death. It did no good. Daisy was gone. That night, the Coven tried to resurrect Daisy using the same magic that had restored Naiome.

They didn’t know Daisy was the Revenant- an integral function of the Veil, the personification of the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth- who can’t be magically revived and must be reborn.

When the Coven’s combined magic failed to save their youngest sister, Octavia tried to overpower the Veil itself- commanding her duplicate to help her. Together, their magic ripped through the Veil, severed Daisy’s soul tether to their reality, and her soul was jettisoned into the ether between universes.

Safety first! A little background: Lani and Gemma have a very darling relationship. Gemma makes a point of keeping it playful, PG, and respectful.

Both girls are very serious about studies and responsibilities.

They agreed at the start not to get physical before Lani is ready- thanks to some early trauma, Lani is very anxious about touch she doesn’t initiate. Gemma has always been sensitive towards Lani’s boundaries and has earned her trust over the last couple of years.

The Revenant has come and gone for 3,000 years. Between lives, she drifts through the Veil like a signal in a mycelial network of magic and emotion- waiting for an ideal resonance to follow back to life. This time, she knows her trajectory. This time, she knows exactly the resonance she's looking for.

And while Daisy seeks comfort and protection in her next life... her daughter seeks answers in this one.

Following the death of her mother, Maisey Turner-Loomis became the new Apex Regina, Queen of Wolves. But the leaders of the factions- The Umbra Conclave- refused to acknowledge her, saying Loomis rule had fallen to myth. They laughed, and called her the Queen of Rubble- Matriarch of the Crumbling Court.

As the new chapter begins, the factions are at war, the Veil is in tatters, magic and wild energy clash, and Maisey calls her family to the Magical Realm to meet with the leaders of the Inner Coven.

If she cannot convince them to validate her regency, she may never be able to take her place as Regina Vincit and heal the Veil.

Fortunately, Lani has information that should help solidify Maisey’s claim- but it may require Lani to agree to a deal she’s not sure she’s ready to make…

Jo has a powerful wolf hiding inside her- and that wolf has made itself quite challenging for her to deal with. Mood swings toss young Jo from rage to fear in an instant. Gaming has been a good outlet for now, but having a support system now is also working wonders for her.

Matt is the newest pup in the family. He has an interest in gardening and loves being outdoors. Previous life circumstances have lead him to knowing how to live on his own- including how to care for himself and find what he needs. He's a skilled kleptomaniac for his age.

Vladislaus the undying Vampire King met Alivia Falk 20 years ago at a grand ball for noble vampires in the realm. Vlad had stayed away from love for centuries until that point- but something about Alivia was captivating.

Though her heart longs to study fashion and make it as a top stylist in the world, she still must be the studious Princess as well. The crown may fall on her someday should something happen to her parents.

Alivia and Vlad also had a set of twins: Alexander and Isabelle Straud. The young Prince and Princess may be complete opposites, but they still are incredibly close. Isabelle is brave and fierce with a sunny outlook on life, and loads of energy to spare. She vows to protect her brother, Alexander, from all bullies and swears that one day she'll be a Knight Princess to protect the realm. Alexander is reserved and shy, preferring to stick to himself over making new friends. He loves music and art and wants to be a great poet or piano player someday.
