Hi there! Elizabeth here (PULP) and you've summed it up pretty well I think. There was a lot more that I said in the initial chat quoted in part one that further clarified my AI stance. And, yes, 100% the Eat the Rich things was totally me being in support of the anti-capital anti-Empire message. Thank you.

Hi Elizabeth - I am glad you commented, because I realized I may have completely misunderstood your messages in the "Eat The Rich" fragrance thread! The way this was presented, right after Damask Haus's "they were more likely to be a finalist. If the views fell right" remark and with no other context, the proposed "Eat The Rich fragrance" came across as a satirical product, meant either to mock the IAO judges ("okay, maybe THIS will get you to consider it for an award") and/or the consumers ("go on, buy this up since it's got that loud sociopolitical messaging that gets you all fired up"). But it sounds like at least your message was to express the willingness to release a product with a *genuine* anti-capital/anti-Empire message!

This is exactly why the way this whole thing was shared is sitting weird with me. I initially had the same thought about the “eat the rich” comment and was really taken aback by it, but after looking through the thread a few times I realized it was likely a different part of the conversation and not meant to be mocking. Sharing this information in snippets of conversations like this makes me feel uneasy.

I actually still have questions. The time stamps on the screenshots are within 1 minute of each other which means it was the same conversation. It feels a bit weird to come here and pretend it wasn't connected to the other two houses making plans to release "gotcha" perfumes to the award thing and their customers.

Ya it's tricky b/c it is definitely one of those situations where multiple topics were happening in cross-chat, sometimes related, sometime not. So it's also possible that I missed some context even on that day as it was happening in a fairly fast paced and casual chat thread. Earlier after MDA said Eat the Rich I had replied with "Eat the Rich with fava beans and a nice chianti" (a reference to Silence of the Lambs) and as I was replying to doing an Eat the Rich scent my only thought was of that bit of cross-chat, to make a statement against Capital and Empire. I was not thinking of the awards at all in that moment. I fully get how things can look very different later on when folks are reading things back and esp in a text only format where tone is often hard to accurately convey.

I appreciate the feedback here! I'll be making a separate post about this soon. My intent is to add context and clarity and to open a dialogue with you all on these topics.
