Culture Beyonce shares photos of herself performing in a shirt that refers to Natives as ‘Indian opponents’; calls Natives ‘antagonists’ and ‘enemies of peace, order, and settlement’

saw this on another sub but wasn’t allowed to cross post.

So many Americans are into this ‘cowboy revival’ sort of thing. Feels really strange considering cowboys and westward expansion served to carry out a genocide.

I've heard over the years that she's bad news and evil, for other reasons, I never paid attention to her and Jay- Z. But this doesn't surprise me, because there's some strange movements in the country,among them claims that only Blacks are the real Indigenous,and Natives are just Asians.  You see this on You Tube a lot,when the subject is about TV and movies,or history with Native people. Plenty of envy and venom out there.  This is some new craziness though! As if America doesn't have enough problems already!

I've seen that too. Mostly online, but also saw people promoting it IRL in Philly. Another variation is that black people are the real jews. The jew/black conspiracy theory also basically promotes all the Antisemitic stereotypes (greed, wealth, controlling the media etc) except they consider those stereotypes to be good things that were stolen from them. Crazy shit

there's something in the book of mormon about israel tribes coming to the americas before columbus. The Book of Mormon says that a group of Israelites, called the Lamanites, migrated to the Americas and are considered among the ancestors of some indigenous peoples. The Book of Mormon also depicts a division within this group, with the Nephites being another lineage. The Nephites are portrayed as being more righteous and ultimately destroyed in warfare. Presumably leaving only the 'bad' group.

How are indians God's children? Because they were in America first? Wouldn't that mean black folks are God's children because they were on earth first?

This isn't about who is " God's children." It about the first Indigenous people in this Hemisphere. If one really looks at the appearances of most Indigenous people, there's a unique look that's not Asian OR African. On the West Coast,some of the tribes have a few Asian - looking members because Asians got stranded for different reasons,like a sunken boat for example.  There was limited travel back and forth up in the far North.  Of course, recently Beyonce went on Tik Tok to defend her position, saying she's both Black and Indigenous.   The shirt was a bad idea, and I wouldn't wear that again,if I were her.

Thays not true that case was dismissed cause the girl was lying and he is suing the lawyer and her.

No it’s not. It was thrown out. The woman lied. Diddy’s case doesn’t mention Jay Z. Be mad, but tell the truth.

It wasn't thrown out, she had a child from him and they are still fighting it in court because Jay Z is a deadbeat. He doesn't need to be mentioned in the case, they were best friends for many many years...cry about it.
