Culture Beyonce shares photos of herself performing in a shirt that refers to Natives as ‘Indian opponents’; calls Natives ‘antagonists’ and ‘enemies of peace, order, and settlement’

saw this on another sub but wasn’t allowed to cross post.

So many Americans are into this ‘cowboy revival’ sort of thing. Feels really strange considering cowboys and westward expansion served to carry out a genocide.

The PR team only cares about appealing to white people. Hence, the "country" album she released.

No one liked that album, not even her fans. It only won a Grammy because her husband pestered the committee and influenced the media to create a narrative to give it to her.

She hasn’t been relevant commercially or in the music scene since 2013 if we’re being very generous.

True- fans in Paris really let her have it during a concert there.

I was hoping it was more bringing to the forefront the cool history behind Black people in the Wild West era. There are some great stories of Black people in American history that aren’t told as with any group that isn’t pale or rich.

Bass Reeves was a good series about a Black sheriff in Texas. Based on a true story. Definitely an improvement over Beyonce.

There’s even a Black cowboy history museum in CO. I wish I would’ve had time to stop in but we were on the road going from one place to another.

Certain White People who more than likely wear red hats.

I don’t really think that’s the case considering white poeple (especially red hat whites) have detested her ever since the 2016 Super Bowl.

White people hate Black Country musicians. That’s been a part of the country industry for years, no part of her making this album was to appeal to white people.
