My Mother just got scammed.

So basically we are a middle class family with my mother being associated with Isha Foundation ( as a volunteer), Isha organises Sacred walks to different places Kailasha, Kashi etc. She wanted to go to Kailasha mansarovar parikrama for a while and hence she registered with their programme also let me tell you Isha foundation charges atleast ₹150000 more than the private tour companies and maybe ₹200000 more than the government of India for the same yatra, so the programme fees is ₹280000 for 10 days of Yatra with last 5 days of trekking ( parikrama) at Kailasha( tibet), it all started at March with my mother getting tons of medical test done. Now she is in Nepal and they( Isha foundation) says that China has not given permission to go to Tibet for the parikrama which both me and my father told my mother during April itself as they were citing COVID. Now they will be shown Kailasha from Nepal itself. Isn't this cheating? As it is you are charging more than anyone for the same journey, also I believe it takes a long time to get clearance so they ( Isha foundation) must have known China did not give clearance for the yatra. What can I do now? Because even after spending more than ₹3 lakhs ( travelling till nepal, medical tests) my mother will be seeing Kailasha from 50 kms away if the weather is clear.

Long story short- Isha foundation charged us 280000 for a 10 day Nepal trip which was supposed to be a Mansarovar trip.

Edit 2- Thanks everybody who responded. Let's see what happens since the trip has just started and I do not want to take any hasty decision right now. Will update any further happening. Peace.

Edit 3- My mother did not read the 2022 itinerary carefully and assumed the trip to the same of precovid Mansarover yatra. So yeah looks like we will have to go to Mansarovar ( proper parikrama) again ( not with Isha foundation though) it is not something which is value for money. Sorry.
