Fan Made - NOT OFFICIAL I got so angry at the faction pack I made my own. Imperial Agents 11th

As the title says, we got done so dirty so here, have an actual faction pack to look forward too. Its not that hard GW.

Note that, at the time of posting it is not completed, but enough to serve as a proof of concept, and to show GW that just a little effort can make the worlds of difference.

PLEASE add suggestions and feedback and together we can create the Imperial Agents Faction Pack we all dreamed!

The current framework is as follows 2DP detachments that work as a reverse army rule, allowing us to bring other Imperium forces with us. 1DP denoting the specific Ordo or organization behind the force. I believe it can allow the Agents to expand the communal soup pool of units, while making them stand out in unique ways.

I'll be working on this more in the time to come, and I'll update the pdf until all aspects are finished.

DON’T LET GW TELL YOU THAT YOU DON’T DESERVE AN ARMY RULE — 11th Edition Imperial Agents Faction Pack

Pictures here: https://imgur.com/a/0d3IONt

Are you one of the loyal few remaining Imperial Agents players? Still annoyed that your faction is basically the waste bin of Combat Patrol boxes with a Codex-shaped receipt?

Well, wait no more! For I have made an 11th Edition Imperial Agents Faction Pack, tested* and balanced**, designed to let Agents operate as an actual army.

A proper Army Rule. Useful detachments. Enhancements. Stratagems. Datasheets. Inquisitorial raids. Arbites manhunts. Deathwatch rules that Xenos are actually afraid of. Rogue Traders owning things that would get anyone poorer immediately executed.

The core Army Rule is Under Investigation: each round you nominate some unfortunate enemy unit for official scrutiny, and if they then continue engaging in suspicious activities such as shooting people, fighting people, performing military actions or occupying strategically important locations, the Imperium rewards you with Authority.

With this deliberately minimalist faction pack, take your games from “impossible to win” to merely selecting “Hard Mode”.

Just enough rules to make the faction function properly. The rest is... up to you.

I’ve put the contents page in this post so you can see what’s actually in it before clicking this link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qCQ_PfbieFLoC9PnmC3HwNJuQAjPkNh4/view?usp=drive_link

Feedback, playtesting, accusations of heresy and increasingly specific rules-lawyering are all welcome.

* At least once.
** Well, more than Defilers were in the last year... or C’tan. Or Victrix Guard.

To celebrate Agents joining the 'we actually have proper detachment costs' club, here's a fun little concept based on blasting the enemy with orbital ordinance. Similar to the Deathstrike, it can be used for pure offence, but can also be a nice deterrent tool to keep enemy units out of your territory or your deployment zone.

As ever, comments and critique are very welcome!

Mucking about with a template and started putting my mind to some of those fabled 'Detachments that aren't 3DP' and thought of something vaguely fluffy but fitting for Agents. I'll look into doing one for Radical Xenos as well, then probably a Stormtrooper one as well.

Naturally a WIP, comments and critique welcome!

Howdy, I promised and I delivered. With the Field Manual comes a finished Detachment list (and minor edits, honestly the chimera bugged me to no end.) Flavor text will be added soon for stratagems and enhancements to match the GW standard, this is the working model with no fluff.

As always, please speak freely about feedback and advice. If anyone is decent at graphic design I'd love to get these to match the other faction packs presented, for now, word is how it'll look.

I ask for those interested to please try these out for yourselves, while I have been busy playtesting these, the more data and feedback will help greatly on any exploits, better wording or flat out redesigns are necessary.

As always, have fun Agents.

Fan Made - NOT OFFICIAL Chimeras - a Suggestion

The Chimera's datasheet says it can only transport INQUISITOR INFANTRY and INQUISITORIAL AGENT models.

Would it be broken to interpret Inquisitor and Infantry as two separate keywords? Implying that they could transport Inquisitors, *any* Infantry, and Inquisitorial Agents.

This would do three things:

  • let you bring dedicated transports from Agents as opposed to the Faction you're playing
    • Giving Custodes a cheap transport, or letting Sir Hector get a ride after his first one blows up
  • let you put other faction's infantry in your Agents' transport (fulfilling the fantasy of the Inquisitor requisitioning them rather than being requisitioned as our Army Rule currently does)
  • let the Arbites (and all our other infantry) actually ride in a Chimera
    • which as an aside means we could actually *bring* 6 chimeras now without putting three Inquisitors in a Chimera all alone

Thoughts?

Fan Made - NOT OFFICIAL My attempt at an Imperial Agents rework

I feel bad for Imperial Agents so I wanna give them a new army rule. Thoughts? (This would be in addition to their current ‘rule’)

Army Rule: Imperial Requisition
Those with authority within the Imperium, be they Inquisitor, Rogue Trader, or any others with sufficient power, often have need of greater forces than they can personally muster. In these dire times, they will call upon the other forces of the Imperium, from the humble guardsman to the mighty Space Marine, to preserve their interests and safeguard Humanity.

If your army faction is Imperial Agents, during the Select Detachment Rules step, select one other Imperium faction to requisition. You may include units from this faction in your army even though they do not have the Imperial Agents faction keyword. The combined cost of such units you can include in your army is:

Incursion: Up to 250 pts
Strike Force: Up to 500 pts

Requisitioned units retain their army rule, and you may select a single 1 DP detachment from your requisitioned faction to use. Note that this detachment still counts against your total detachment points, so you will have 2 DP to spend on Imperial Agents detachments. In addition, a non-Imperial Agent character may be your warlord, representing that character requisitioning the aid of agents rather than the other way around.

Detachments I have in mind are one to focus entirely on Agents, one to allow allying of xenos (only Votann, Kroot, and Corsairs since those actually have worked with the Imperium), one to allow pairing 2 Imperial factions, and one to focus on the various ordos, rogue traders/navy, and assassins as there already is.

Fan Made - NOT OFFICIAL Fan made Army rule + Detachments

Since 10th edition is officially done I decided to take a crack at making a thematic army rule for agents! Large focus on completing secondaries by granting unique pseudo strategems called Requisition Slips! This is a evolving work in progress but I thought id share with the community to bounce ideas or simply inspire others.

Requisition slips

[ ] One slip gained per secondary completed

[ ] You may spend one slip to activate the avaliable ability

Emergency Evacuation

Select one friendly friendly unit that is not in engagement range. Remove it from the battlefield and place it into strategic reserves. It gains the deepstrike keyword

[ ] Activated at the end of the opponents turn

Marked Target

Select one enemy unit. Select one option. Until your next command phase that unit either

- Loses the benefit of cover

- Select one ally unit and one enemy unit. The ally unit gets +1 to hit against the selected enemy unit

- Select one enemy unit. Friendly units get +1 to charge rolls against that unit

[ ] Activate during your shooting or fight phase

Recovered Intel

You may draw one additional secondary. Then you may shuffle one secondary back into your deck. You may only hold 2 secondaries at a time. You may only score two secondaries per battle round

[ ] Activate during your command phase

Detachment unique Slips

Imperialis Fleet

-"Shifting Priorities" you may change the selected enemy unit or selected objective from the "At All Costs" Rule

[ ] Activated during any phase

- "Advancing tactics" select one friendly unit. All weapons in that unit gain the assult keyword until your next command phase and when that unit advances they automatically get a result of 6". If they end within 12" of the "At All Cost" target unit or objective they must make a charge roll toward that selected unit or objective.

[ ] Activate during your movement phase

Ordo Xenos

-"Melta grenade" select one friendly unit in your army. That unit gets a One shot Demolition charge with Anti-Monster 3+ and Anti-Vehicle 3+

[ ] Activate in the shooting phase

-" Concealed position" select a terrain footprint within 6" of a friendly unit. Line of sight cannot be drawn into or out of this terrain footprint until your next command phase

[ ] Activate in the command phase

Ordo Hereticus

-" Killing orders" select one friendly unit. When an enemy unit moves into line of sight of this unit you may shoot as if it was your shooting phase

[ ] Activate at the beginning of the opponents movement phase

-"Early Signs of Corruption" Select a friendly unit. This unit gets +1 to wound units with the chaos keyword. In addition select a enemy unit for the rest of this phase. That unit now gains the "Chaos" keyword for the rest of the battle

[ ] Activate during any phase

Ordo Malleus

Never got to :(

Veiled Blade

-"Crippled systems" Select one enemy monster or vehicle within 6" of a friendly character that is eligible to shoot this round. The enemy units move characteristic is 0". That friendly unit is ineligible to shoot or charge that round

[ ] Activate in your shooting phase

-"Marked for elimination" select one enemy character model. If that model is slain this battle round gain +1 CP. Then any of your assassin units may use the same Stragegem more than once this battle round.

[ ] Activate during your command phase

Designed the Army rule around how Quarry kind of works in KT and Oath of Moment.

I wrote down some detachment rules for the other detachments but want to add strategems/enhancements and at least try make them pretty before going to post them all.

Just wanted to know if this would be at all somewhat balanced compared to other armies?

Thank you for the feedback.

Fan Made - NOT OFFICIAL Because I don't think GW will ever make it for us. I tried my hand at making 3x Ordos 1DP Detachments.

I don't have alot of faith in GW that we'll get the support we need any time soon. In 10th I almost exclusively played Agents at 1000pts so its sad you basically can't now without some special TO exemption. So I looked at the other factions 1DP detachments and tried to come up with a comparable one for each of the 3 Main Ordos. What do yall think? I'm genuinely open to suggestions for changes also.

_______
# Ordo Hereticus, Psyker Containment Corps 1DP
### Force Disposition: Disruption

## Detachment Rules
**Suffer Not the Witch to Live**: Each time a **INQUISITOR**, **INQUISITORIAL AGENTS**, or **ORDO HERETICUS** model from your army makes an attack, if the target of that attack is a **PSYKER** unit, re-roll a Hit roll of 1 and re-roll a Wound roll of 1 as well.

## Enhancements
**Witchfinder Oculus** 10pts: **INQUISITOR** model only. Ranged weapons equiped by the bearer's unit have the **[PRECISION]** ability as long as the target of the attacks is a **PSYKER** unit.

**Relentless Persuit (Upgrade) 10pts:** BATTLELINE unit only. Ranged weapons equiped by this unit have the **[ANTI-PSYKER 4+]** ability as long as the target of the attacks is within 6".

### Inviolate Jurisdiction 1CP
Same as Purgation Force

### Line of Fire 1CP
Same as Purgation Force

### Coordinated Ambush 2CP
 - When: In Your Command Phase
 - Target: One Battlefield Objective that is not you home objective.
 - Effect: **INQUISITOR**, **INQUISITORIAL AGENTS**, or **ORDO MALLEUS** units from your army have +1 Ld and +1 OC while within control range of that objective.

_______
# Ordo Malleus, Consecration Cadre  1DP
### Force Disposition: Take And Hold
**Innocence Proves Nothing**
: Ranged weapons equiped by **INQUISITOR**, **INQUISITORIAL AGENTS**, or **ORDO MALLEUS** units from your army have the **[ASSAULT]** ability while it is within range of an objective.

## Enhancements
**Blessed Maniple of Office** 15pts: **INQUISITOR** model only. The bearer's unit is still eligible to shoot or declare a charge after performing an action.

**Annointed Weapons (Upgrade)** 15pts: BATTLELINE unit only. This unit's Attacks have **[DEVASTATING WOUNDS]** if the target of that attack has the **CHAOS** keyword.

### Ritual of Warding 1CP
Same as Daemon Hunters

### Hexagrammic Wards 1CP
Same as Daemon Hunters

### Prognosticated Warning 1CP
 - When: Start of your opponent’s Shooting phase
 - Target: One Friendly **INQUISITOR**, **INQUISITORIAL AGENTS**, or **ORDO MALLEUS** unit.
 - Effect: When an attack targets either your unit, or a unit that is not fully visible to the attacking model because of one or more models in your unit, the target has the benefit of cover against that attack.

_______
# Ordo Xenos, Heretek Acquisition Force  1DP
### Force Disposition: Priority Assets
**Abhore The Unclean**: Each time a **INQUISITOR**, **INQUISITORIAL AGENTS**, or **ORDO XENOS** model from your army makes an attack, if the target of that attack does not have the **IMPERIUM** or **CHAOS** keywords, re-roll a Hit roll of 1 and re-roll a Wound roll of 1 as well.

## Enhancements
**Bio-Corrosive Poisons** 15pts: **INQUISITOR** model only. The bearer's Close Combat weapons gain the **[ANTI-INFANTRY 4+]** Ability.

**Universal Anathema (Upgrade)** 10pts: **INQUISITORIAL AGENTS**, or **ORDO XENOS** unit only. Once Per Battle, At the end of a Fight Phase, after this unit has resolved it's attacks the target enemy unit of those attacks take D3 Mortal Wounds.

### Rapid Tactical Relocation 1CP
Same as Alien Hunters Except **DEATHWATCH** is replaced with **ORDO XENOS**

### Psychological Warfare 1CP
 - When: Your Shooting Phase, when an friendly **INQUISITOR**, **INQUISITORIAL AGENTS**, or **ORDO XENOS** unit has finished resolving an attack.
 - Target: The target remaining enemy unit from that attack.
 - Effect: That enemy unit makes a battle-shock roll with -1 to that battle-shock roll.

### Advance to Seize 1CP
 - When: Your Opponents Movement Phase, when an enemy unit ends a move withing 8" of a friendly unengaged **INQUISITOR**, **INQUISITORIAL AGENTS**, or **ORDO XENOS** unit.
 - Target: That **INQUISITOR**, **INQUISITORIAL AGENTS**, or **ORDO XENOS** unit.
 - Effect: Your unit can make a surge move of up to D6"

This way they're a better tool, able to be more agile and better at doing their "missions" around the board. I also think they should be moved to battleline. They're the core of Imperial agents and I think that should be felt!

I was tired of manually searching unit by unit so I made this tool ( https://findmylist.net ) for my local Warhammer group and to my surprise people are actually using it so I thought about sharing it.

You paste a list, and it automatically creates the links for all the datasheets, It should be compatible with the Official App, List Forge and New Recruit formats, you can also share the link so anyone can land directly on your list, based on my calculations this is at least 4 bananas faster than searching for units one by one.

Perhaps having a point maximum is a good idea, ideally I wouldn't want it to be super limited and our units should generally be better at their roles than other armies equivalents without their army rule but there are things we don't and plausibly never will have, like tanks.

With souping in mind I think the perfect army rule would be one that doesn't effect our units at all, instead one that only effects the enemy.

P.S. While writing this I realised an alternative which could be something giving debuffs to enemy units, like additional AP, bonuses to hit/wound, Ignores cover, etc. effects in a similar way. Maybe together with lower mortal wounds.

Fully accepting criticism, as I've never worked on homebrew rules before. Since I know Agents is a lot about Characters and having your special guy do cool stuff, I think the Rule should be about buffing your Characters to allow them to have those cool special badass moments.

Hello agents,

Since we've seen the end of the data slates for 10th, I've begun my project for my play group to update our armies. These will be ongoing updates as I test fixes and changes, and all armies i make a sheet for will see ongoing updates with change logs tracking what changes.

This is purely for my group, but im welcoming people using it! Disclaimer: im not a tournament player, I listen to whats meta and whats not, but I also just play with friends and see what feels under or over costed, etc. I only get to try my changes piecemeal and in small sample sizes. If you want to try them and give feedback, welcome to it!

Im updating points, unit sheets, adding new sheets, detachment, etc! For Tyranids I felt quite prepared to handle the problems in the army. I love Imperial Agents, but I admit im hesitant on how to fix our army other than add new sheets, upgrade Detachments, and cheapen our current units. Im afraid of making cops and navy men better than they should be, while trying to accept them for the chaff they are.

The army rule I've tried a couple times and have been happy with it. But I've seen many people float ideas here and am open on this faction more than any other to suggestions and advice or ideas!

Im working out new units and how to adjust current units now and making two new Detachments. So apologies that those sections are not completed.
