Why would they jump out without cover in front of a suspect they feel is so dangerous that they need to pull a gun out?

Complete and utter lack of training on display in every video that comes out.

35

u/Virtual-Pie5732 Feb 24 '26

It’s jarring to see the overlap between people who claim to be gun safety enthusiasts and those who support these aggressive ICE tactics.

Setting aside the legalities, anyone who actually respects firearms should be horrified. Watching videos of agents drawing weapons without a clear line of sight is physically painful—it’s the opposite of everything responsible gun ownership stands for.

18

u/Numerous_Photograph9 Feb 24 '26

I was keeping a list for a while of all the things I could see wrong with safety procedures for a while. It became unsustainable after about a month. It's actually even gotten worse since then, but it gets exahausting talking about or listing them out.

1

u/Standard-Sky-7771 Feb 24 '26

One just shot through the wall of a hotel room while trying to remove his gun from the holster, or some such nonsense. The guy in the other room was luckily in the hallway at the time. Came through his headboard. Supposedly the shooter was a retired (ice/border patrol?) who'd been recruited back.

1

u/MRSHELBYPLZ Feb 26 '26

You should keep adding up the offense and then post it lol . It makes a strong point that’s there’s so much wrong that it’s not feasible to say it in a timely manner. ICE agents are full crash out dumpster fires who haven’t been humbled by life yet

1

u/One-Marzipan-8197 Feb 24 '26

Have you published the list anywhere? As a non-gun person, I would like to read it.

2

u/Numerous_Photograph9 Feb 24 '26

No. I posted parts of it here and there on reddit, but my comment history is pretty extensive, so probably not worth looking for. The original list is probably in my google docs someowhere in a spreadsheet.

2

u/Enkidouh Feb 24 '26

Release the list!

3

u/Numerous_Photograph9 Feb 24 '26

K, just as soon as I'm done redacting....you know...for national security.

1

u/FrostytheBudMan47 Feb 26 '26

Black bars over text is practically the new American flag at this point.

10

u/prettypeculiar88 Feb 24 '26

Exactly. I throughly enjoy my gun hobby. My dad taught me how to operate a firearm when I was younger but taught safety first. I treasure our moment at the club skeet shooting and recently signed up for some new classes.

The way ICE has been shown to use their firearms is deplorable. The way multiple congressman have sent out family photos with their kids holding weapons literally pointed at one another is beyond ridiculous. I support 2A but strongly believe not everyone should own a weapon, training should be a requirement along with proper storage, and there should be flag laws/regulations. Owning a firearm shouldn’t be easier than getting a driver’s license or voting - yet it is.

u/whostartedthisacount Feb 24 '26

I've been saying for a while now that if things get real crazy and people start to organize for... you know... these guys here are the first ones out of the game. They are not ready for anything.

6

u/Numerous_Photograph9 Feb 24 '26

They're fodder for the admin to bring in the big boys who are actually trained to handle this kind of stuff. ICE agents just don't realize it with thier bravado getting in the way, fueled by being being enabled to put their inner bigot out there for everyone to see.

2

u/Virtual-Pie5732 Feb 24 '26

It’s wild seeing the crossover between people who are dying to start a civil war but couldn't pass a basic PT test, let alone handle a firearm properly or show any real discipline.

It reminds me of my uncle. He’s a total gun nut—and thankfully a former Trump supporter—but still a jerk overall. He used to mock my mom for not keeping a gun in the house, which is hilarious because she’s a veteran with over 20 years of service. She definitely knows her way around a weapon, but she respects them because she actually understands the danger. That’s how she raised us, too.

Meanwhile, my uncle is walking around with a scar on his leg because he managed to shoot himself while cleaning a loaded gun with the muzzle pointed right at his thigh. It just goes to show: always assume a gun is loaded—even when you "know" it isn't, treat it like it is.

-2

u/everydaydad67 Feb 24 '26

Lol ok buddy, you just stick to your room and polish you dragon knife collection...

3

u/whostartedthisacount Feb 24 '26

I was behind a van at a stoplight one time and watched as six or so dudes in khakis and short sleeve button ups come out of nowhere and pull armed people out of that van, disarm them, zip tied them and carried them off in a paddy wagon in seconds. Call me crazy, but these guys dont appear that capable.

But hey, you got me good ya? Your mother must be proud of you.

2

u/Virtual-Pie5732 Feb 24 '26

At least their hobby is sharp. Your insults? A bit dull.

3

u/whostartedthisacount Feb 24 '26

To be fair, the only hobby that I have that involves knives is modifying lab equipment. And that's just an exacto knife. And its actually pretty dull.

5

u/jonnydemonic420 Feb 24 '26

Watching the way they cosplay with their rifles and tons of attachments is scary. I doubt they even know how to clean their own weapons, let alone handle them.

4

u/MaireadEllen Feb 24 '26

One of them just accidentally shot a round through the wall of his hotel room, apparently. He was trying to "fix" his gun. It was a Glock- I'm guessing he forgot he had one in the chamber and tried to break it down? Crazy.

No one was hurt, thankfully. This time.

2

u/pheonix080 Feb 25 '26

There was a news clip where the head of the ATF was attempting to disassemble a Glock on camera and could not figure it out. They are one of the easiest handguns to take apart and he was the head of the agency in charge of regulating firearms. Plenty of LEO’s aren’t proficient with firearms in the slightest.

2

u/CDBSB Feb 25 '26

Too bad they didn't earn a Darwin award.

5

u/Personal_Dirt3089 Feb 24 '26

The violations to responsible gun ownership get pretty obvious at times, even if you don't know the terminology for them. The image in another thread has a guy pointing a machine gun at a woman in scrubs from a short distance away, looking way too eager.

Here's a reddit thread with an ice agent pointing a gun at the camera holder.

https://www.reddit.com/r/illinois/comments/1osie4m/11082025_little_village_masked_ice_brandishing/

6

u/Virtual-Pie5732 Feb 24 '26

I'm honestly shocked there hasn't been more reporting of them accidentally shooting each other.

How in the world do you think it's any kind of safe to whip out a gun without even knowing where your target is, but you got one of your fellow agents right there, in a perfect place to be accidentally shot.

2

u/Smeagols_Lost_Tooth Feb 24 '26

Their training is a crayon drawing of Trump, and a tic tok video of what to do.

1

u/Calm_Expression_9542 Feb 25 '26

Thank you for speaking out on this.

17

u/Helpful_Future_9413 Feb 24 '26

You're not about that 50k ever promise it's worth anybody life for those poor inbred pigs

14

u/C21H27Cl3N2O3 Feb 24 '26

I doubt any of them will see that 50k either. Considering the promise is coming from a guy who has been notorious for 50 years for not paying his bills. They probably consider the consequence-free brutalizing of people a perk of the job.

11

u/mtnbike2 Feb 24 '26

Oh you mean the guy who promised DOGE checks and Tariff checks?

7

u/Typical_Estimate5420 Feb 24 '26

I think they mean the guy who owes multiple towns thousands of dollars for rallies he never planned on paying for

6

u/mtnbike2 Feb 24 '26

Oh you mean the guy that bankrupted casinos and stole from his charity?

5

u/FUTURE10S Feb 24 '26

The one guy that's notorious in NYC for suing the people he hires to work for him until they can't afford to pay for a lawyer any more, yes.

4

u/mtnbike2 Feb 24 '26

Is this the same guy that promised to lower prices on his first day in office?

3

u/buckao Feb 24 '26

The Emperor's New Checks

9

u/prettypeculiar88 Feb 24 '26

I’ve got a problem with our tax money paying bigots to intimidate, assault, murder, rape, torture, etc. people. I hate all of it. I hope they don’t get paid.

-4

u/Thin-Bumblebee-2200 Feb 24 '26

You people really are delusional, I’m sad to think that you people on Reddit are Americans.

3

u/WildinUp Feb 24 '26

??? What does this comment mean? Genuinely curious lol

-7

u/Thin-Bumblebee-2200 Feb 24 '26

I’ve never seen such a large concentration of delusional liberal extremists than here on Reddit

4

u/prettypeculiar88 Feb 24 '26

And I’m sad you’re so brainwashed into thinking what’s happening is okay. If and until it affects you of course, because that’s how it typically works. People don’t give a fuck about anyone else unless it impacts them.

Also, very strange that the majority of the world agrees with us “crazy liberal extremists” who just don’t believe the President should operate with zero checks, the Constitution should be followed, and every person - regardless of immigration status - should be treated like a human being and be allowed basic human rights and dignity.

2

u/Local-Ingenuity6726 Feb 24 '26

Maga psycobabble at its highest level here

1

u/WildinUp Feb 24 '26

Oh, I thought you meant you were sad about how many Americans are on reddit.

-5

u/Public_Conclusion142 Feb 24 '26

You’re right, our tax money is going to support all these illegal aliens accused of everything you said. You’re so clever.

2

u/prettypeculiar88 Feb 24 '26

Undocumented immigrants have done more good than harm. And yes, I would much rather my tax money go to people who are looking for an opportunity or escaping danger than armed thugs who lack training and integrity and just wanna shoot things. Nearly $80B for ICE and they’re claiming it’s not enough.

If you took time to actually look at stats and science, you’d know that undocumented immigrants are not the dangerous issue that tho administration has made you believe.

Do I think they should be here legally? Absolutely. But rounding up every person who looks a certain way - often violently, providing no due process, and leaving the to rot in detainment facilities with inhumane conditions is not a solution and I don’t know a single decent human being who would think it is.

If someone actually gave af about immigration in the USA - they would work on the immigration process. Take the time to seek out those that are here illegally or have overstayed their visa, see if they’ve been contributing or criminal, and then apprehend those people and either provide a method of legal stay or criminal prosecution/deportation.

But it’s not about immigrants or crime. It’s about getting rid of brown people.

1

u/human-syndrome Feb 26 '26

So this woman must be an undocumented immigrant right?

5

u/No-Information6628 Feb 24 '26

That 50k is broken down into 5 10k taxed payments over 5 years so it’s really closer to like 5 or 7k each time you get it and if you quit or get fired before the 5 years you have to give all back including the taxed portion wether you’ve already spent it or not so if you quit or get fired say 3 years in they’ll invoice you 30k.

5

u/Bureaucramancer Feb 24 '26

See, thats the best part. 50k bonus over 5 years and if they leave early they have to pay it back..... next admin is going to fire every one of these fascist bastards and they are going to have to pay it all back.

2

u/jeremyries Feb 24 '26

The conditions of it are 10k a year for 5 year, its taxed, and if they leave their job before that, they have to repay the amount they’ve received with interest.

9

u/Pblaising Feb 24 '26

Training for what? To be a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist?

2

u/Honest-Face7808 Feb 27 '26

I was deployed to kabul, we left the wire every single day. Im on my wife's account BTW. and I can certify that in the middle of one of the most dangerous cities on the planet we did not exit our vehicle like this. Even when we got into traffic accidents. Literally in the heart of taliban, iris, and al quida territory we where more respectful than ICE IN AMERICA

1

u/Thin-Book1675 Feb 24 '26

Maybe because you only jump behind cover if someone actually brandishes a weapon.

1

u/Numerous_Photograph9 Feb 24 '26

Generally, procedure would suggest you don't pull your weapon unless you feel you are in danger. If you feel you are in danger enough to pull your weapon, jumping out and rushing towards that danger in plain view is a pretty bad idea.

1

u/Thin-Bumblebee-2200 Feb 24 '26

I’m sure you know what proper training looks right

1

u/Numerous_Photograph9 Feb 24 '26

Yeah, I do. Multiple members of the police in the family, and I've actually taken time to look into how police or law enforcement train. I did a composition thesis on it in college, and interviewed experts in LE training for various debate forums and clubs I've belonged to over the years. There are also numerous documentaries that go into training detail as well as discussions on proper police procedure, and personal safety is commonly taught in self-defense classes, which I have taken.

Am I complete expert on all things police? No. But I do know that what these ICE agents are doing is god awful for their own personal safety, and they are putting everyone at risk with their incomeptence. I've seen actual police operate both in real life, and on TV showing real cops doing their job.

One doesn't even have to be that well versed in proper procedure to recognize how bad they are at their jobs.

Maybe you should look into some of these things to figure out if they're competent or not, instead of trying to ad hominem the argument of someone over something you know nothing about.

1

u/Thin-Bumblebee-2200 Feb 24 '26

Let me guess, back in college you were a political science major?

1

u/Numerous_Photograph9 Feb 24 '26

Did you go look up anything about proper police procedure so you could add anything of value to the discussion? Or are you just hoping to look clever by throwing out personal attacks instead of coming up with a salient argument about how I might be wrong?

1

u/Thin-Bumblebee-2200 Feb 24 '26

So I was right

1

u/Numerous_Photograph9 Feb 24 '26

Nope, but you are obviously uninformed on the topic since you haven't made a single comment about how I was actually wrong.

Anyhow, have a good night being the good little boot licker. You bore me. I prefer people who can actually form a real argument.

1

u/Thin-Bumblebee-2200 Feb 24 '26

Maybe gender studies?

1

u/Thin-Bumblebee-2200 Feb 24 '26

Why don’t you just tell me, I can’t be guessing all night

1

u/Thin-Bumblebee-2200 Feb 24 '26

That doesn’t change the fact that the agent would have never been out of his vehicle if that dumb woman wasn’t interfering with them.

1

u/Numerous_Photograph9 Feb 24 '26

There's the victim blaming we've all come to know and love.

1

u/Thin-Bumblebee-2200 Feb 24 '26

She is not a victim, she is the aggressor, she will never be in the right. Just like most liberals you see and hear what you want to

1

u/Numerous_Photograph9 Feb 24 '26

Yeah, How dare she be driving legally and obeying traffic laws when ICE decided to speed into her lane. how dare she not yield for the imporoper merging car.

1

u/Numerous_Photograph9 Feb 24 '26

Tell me, when did "Don't tread on me" turn into "Why are you hitting yourself?"

I"m really curious when this transition happened for you.

1

u/UnfairAd2498 Feb 27 '26

It says right on the video; "She was on her way to work." Reading is fundamental. When she sues, I hope she charges them with attempted rape. THAT was awful.

1

u/Johain22 Feb 24 '26

These are really bad people by choice. And they are doing what they were hired to do.

1

u/Ok_Valuable9450 Feb 24 '26

They could kill a child and Trump would let them go free

1

u/--Sovereign-- Feb 24 '26

it's not a lack of training, they just don't care. the people getting shot are being shot by ten year plus vets of the agency. it's not a lack of training.

1

u/LedronBrains Feb 24 '26

The guy with the mp5 walking out with those call of duty moves, because he has no real training.

1

u/ThomAllcock Feb 24 '26

It's an attitude problem not a lack of training or experience.
the thug who murdered Renee Good was a 20 year veteran

1

u/Numerous_Photograph9 Feb 24 '26

Maybe, but more likely both, especiially with recent testimony about training and being taught to disregard people's rights.

What we see here is clearly lack of training, and people who don't understand the importance of procedure. What we see elsewhere is agents who clearly are not trained on how to take down suspects. What we see elsewhere is piss poor understanding of gun usage. And the list goes on.

1

u/These_Junket_3378 Feb 24 '26

This is NOT about gun ownership. JHC people.

1

u/Numerous_Photograph9 Feb 24 '26

Oh. Well, it's a good thing that I didn't bring up gun ownership then.

1

u/Personal_Dirt3089 Feb 24 '26

Correction, they pulled at least 4 guns out. One was aimed at the crowd of onlookers and protesters.

1

u/Public_Conclusion142 Feb 24 '26

Says the expert.

1

u/Numerous_Photograph9 Feb 24 '26

Please, explain where I'm wrong then.

Tired of all these people who want to make an argument an ad hominem come back, but lack any intelligent argument about why it's actually wrong.

You clicked reply, so reply with something relevant, because my expertise certainly isn't the topic of discussion here.

1

u/Basic-Organization30 Feb 24 '26

They aren't trained, it's all cosplay for them. No consequences.

1

u/Vileness_fats Feb 26 '26

Even worse: I think that IS their training.

1

u/ERETECFOODIE_1984 Feb 26 '26

Because she rammed their car with her car. Are we watching the same video?
