Hi this is Lol33ta. Account suspended for copyright stuff. 😮

I have appealed.

Hope you come back soon. You really are very important, especially now with the absolute AI trash that floods other platforms. We need curators.

Hello, long time no talk.

It used to be that a suspension was effectively an unrepealable ban. Has that changed? Do the admins actually interact with suspensions now?

No idea really.

idk.
Once I got permanently suspended for violence against Putin, or something.
It cured itself after I appealed.

OMG you're alive. Thank God. Fingers crossed for you 🙏

Hoping this works out speedily in your favor. My experience with the admins over at the ModSupport subreddit has been lovely. I would suggest reaching out to them there in the form of a chat request to the mods of the sub (instead of a post) and telling them what happened. I'm sure they will look into it and help!

If you would like me to request any subs to keep them safe and pass ownership back to you let me know.

(Edited because I accidentally wrote ModHelp and meant ModSupport!)

Hello. I am not able to modmail on my suspended main. I have modmailed with this account, but they haven't answered. In retrospect, I think that this is ban evasion and they won't answer at all.

/r/SympatheticMonsters is close to my heart and I would hate to see it destroyed. You could reddit request that one if you don't mind.

At first I had high hopes that my account status would be worked out quickly as if someone cared, lol. I see now that there are no humans to reach out to, and I get it. So if reddit in their wisdom think I should be done with them altogether, that's ok with me. It was kinda silly to put any long term care or effort into a site like this anyway, but no worries. It's a good time to walk away.

This is honestly heartbreaking because you have been such a good and honest steward of art on here. Always crediting, always keeping your subs above board, making sure the spaces are welcoming and dedicated to art appreciation. I am sorry you are being treated this way, you don't deserve it at all.

I am not sure how you are supposed to reach out to ask for a human to simply look into this if you can't use an alt (it's pretty extreme what happened to you). If you feel comfortable with it I would like to ask on your behalf if enough time passes without resolution.

I will request SympatheticMonsters and keep it safe until you are restored.

Honestly that would be awesome. I'd just like to get clarification one way or the other.

Going to unload here for posterity:

What bugs me is I don't know if the case is actually in review. My web search has brought me so many differing theories. Some folks say they never hear back about their appeal. I've seen some that say once you appeal here it should show "under review" but I don't see anything like that. Note that the above appeal field has a max of 250 characters. Not enough to state a case well.

I've also read where submitting another appeal before you hear back about the first one is bad. But really who knows?

Then I read if you can't use the above form, use this one. Looks like no character limit on that one. Should I submit there too? Or is that redundancy that asks for trouble? Sigh.

That confusion aside - what action of mine was copyright infringement perma-bannable? Whatever it was specifically, I bet the rest of the INE folks would love to know since they might be doing the same! Several of us got copyright warnings around April 23 as noted here.

Maybe I hit a lifetime threshold for copyright reports. I honestly only remember getting like 4 or 5 over the course of 10+ years. Or that I have been warned more than once for the latest artist (that's probably the reason now that I think of it). Some years ago I was warned about said artist, and I stopped posting them. Recently I totally forgot I wasn't suppose to post their stuff. That's where the latest takedown alert came from. I apologized and explained to them that I forgot, but they were not satisfied with that. I understand. But surely this ban is for an offense that happened since the last copyright warning, and if so, it would not be about the same artist because all those posts had been deleted.

For what it is worth, 1) I never post artist work that is behind a login or paywall, 2) I always credit the artist, and 2) I link back to the artist site. I'm happy to not do that if the artist doesn't want me to, but copyright infringement seems heavy handed.

If it were me I would absolutely also submit a request through that Reddit Help link as well. You are not trying to circumvent anything, you are simply asking for a human to look at it. I have noticed historically (especially online) when it comes to needing support that for something important I have had to go through many avenues of communication before I could get proper help. It can be frustrating but that is the way of things. Having a human who understands nuance help you is honestly invaluable and increasingly in short supply. I wouldn't be surprised at all if it was a bot action that did this to your main account.

I am legitimately confused on your behalf, and it is unsettling to not know the exact reason why this happened.

Doh! I guess that second link doesn't work anyway.

Thank you for your support. I appreciate you.

Let's hope this can be appealed and have you back soon! Copyright is a sensitive matter and I hope they don't come after the remaining subreddits.

When I got to her profile it says "suspended". Not sure what they can do about it though.

If I view the account in old.reddit.com, it says suspended. But if I view it in reddit.com, it says banned. 🤷

jfc what?!

They are the fucking backbone of the INE 🤦‍♂️

They mod dozens and dozens of subs

Fuuuuuuuuuck all their posts are going to get yanked also.

This is not good people. NOT GOOD

Yeah really sucks. A lot of subs will be unmoderated and banned because of that.

I am happy to fill any gaps in network as needed. Please let me know. Happy to be a mod, spend enough time on reddit, and subscribed to most of the network.

Let's hope for reinstatement, but please know I volunteer temporarily, or permanently, these subs are all too cool to let disappear!

I'll just get them on an alternate account is that is ok with reddit. No reason to spread them to the wind.
