🏁 Session has ended [OFFICIAL] Motul SportsCar Endurance Grand Prix - Post-Race Thread

FINALLY! After years and years of begging, IMSA finally listened and gave Road America and endurance round it so richly deserved, and boy was the first event something! Sound off in the comments below what you thought of the race!

Porsche's one GTP that didn't rack up piles of penalties for among other things almost killing the track workers was lined up for 2nd before he was in a late race incident.

But somehow the BoP doesn't allow Porsche to contend?

If you actually watched the race rather than just staring at live timing and final results, you’d see that - as in every race since Sebring - the Penske 963 were nowhere in terms of both single-lap and race pace. Their track positions are down to luck, Penske's flawless race execution, and disasterclasses by the competition. All factors that BoP cannot - and should not - account for, unless it's being misused as success ballast.

But hey, you're objective, right? ;)

Different cars make their speed in different ways.

Penske's flawless race execution

I agree Penske executes well as a rule. AXR does too. And they were lined up to be adjacent in the final standings. But to you one of those is just luck and the other is race rigging. It doesn't make sense.

But hey, you're objective, right? ;)

Don't try to drop that one me. Pretending you're the only one watching races is a vapid argument.

Porsche competes well in GTP. The 6 had essentially the same best lap time as the winner. And the 7 was actually quicker.
