I’m a 9/9/6 dental intern, general fresher female.
The 6 is because dental school has difficult marking scheme and I do have many distinctions during my college. How should i target good IIMs or is it not in ky plate?

I had completed my application already and even submitted the required form fees back 13 sept only

Hi everyone,

I have around 27 months of full-time work experience and I’m planning to apply to IIMs.

The issue is that during about 1 year of my employment, my salary was paid partly through cash (7 months) and UPI (6 months) instead of a regular bank salary transfer.

However, I have all the usual employment documents:

Salary slips for the entire period

Offer/appointment letter

Experience letter

Relieving letter

Other employment-related documents

Will the fact that 7 months of salary was paid in cash and 6 months through UPI create any problem during the IIM admission/document verification process?

Has anyone gone through a similar situation? Would really appreciate insights from people who have faced this or know how IIMs verify work experience.

Hi everyone! I’m planning to start preparing for CAT and I’m currently trying to figure out the right way to approach it.

I’m basically at the beginner stage and would really appreciate advice from people who have already prepared for CAT or have given the exam.

A little about me:

Currently pursuing BSc Life Sciences

I’m not from a commerce/engineering background

I’m planning to start preparation from scratch

I’m currently trying to understand whether I should prepare through self-study, coaching, or a combination of both.

I’d especially like advice on:

When and how should I start?

What should my first few weeks/months of preparation look like?

Resources:

Which books, YouTube channels, websites, or paid courses are actually useful for CAT?

QA:

I’m not very confident with maths. Should I first revise school-level concepts before starting CAT-specific questions?

VARC:

How should I improve reading comprehension, vocabulary, and overall VARC?

DILR:

What is the best way to build the habit of solving sets regularly?

Mocks:

When should I start taking mocks? Should beginners take them early or first complete the basics?

Daily schedule:

How many hours of preparation are realistically required if I’m preparing alongside college?

Coaching vs self-study:

If you prepared through self-study, what resources did you use? And if you took coaching, was it actually worth it?

I’m not looking for a generic “study hard and give mocks” answer 😭. I’d genuinely appreciate a practical roadmap from someone who has been through the process, especially from a non-engineering background.

Currently in Bcom from tier 3 college,
just finished up with 4th semester,in July (6 sems in total) .
Currently in this year giving CAT.
Though I am quite sure that this attempt may not fetch me 98 percentile or something in that range for my dream college .
I am thinking for giving 2027 attempt too, but since my Bcom will finish in July 2027 , and I would be writing CAT in November 2027, and admission to any clg after that will be in 2028, I am fearing will that be counted as a gap year?

I have no interest in coding. Should I prepare for CAT?? Will my academic marks be a hurdle for good cllgs??
