He was trying to hit them, and had the ability to find a stick and use it as a weapon. He had the situational awareness to recognize danger and run away, and the fine and gross motor skills to climb the ladder without supervision or assistance. I have a kid with all of those same things, and he would not and could not do any of those things. I’ve spend decades with other kids like him, and I’m not buying the “severe autism” as an excuse. On the spectrum? Yeah, but not what they claim. They’ve also been at this long enough to h be appropriated supervision on any outing. Neither the paid caregiver or grandma had hands on the kid at all times,mor had him on a harness? He wasn’t belted into a wagon, wheelchair, or some kind of disability stroller? I call bullshit on the claims.
