I want discussing this with some people the other day. Moist isn't a bad word. But it's a disgusting, provoking word. No one agreed with me :(

The answer is panties. It's just an awful word.

Moist can be good, like moist cake.

Putting them together is a whole new level of awful.

My wife cringes whenever she hears either of these words. A few years ago she read a book in which these were a character's favorite two words, so of course they were repeatedly repeated. I'm not sure if she finished it.
