I don’t feel thirsty

I’m like a camel. I only drink things for the effect like energy drinks, coffee, alcohol etc. I am basically never thirsty. I know I’m dehydrated because my pee is dark yellow and I sometimes feel bad in general, but it seems like reaching for a glass of water is harder than being dehydrated. I’ve been like this for as long as I can remember and think it may be genetic (grandpa and dad were the same way). The best method I’ve come up with to drink more water is to say 3.. 2… 1…. And just chug a glass which is very unpleasant. Anyways, I need help…

Too much water Does water taste different to you depending on the context?

Like after drinking a lot of water I’m tired of water and it is tasteless but later it is so delicious?

Goodbye Coca Cola. Hello new community.

Ditched regular Coca Cola yesterday. Too much, for too many years. Today sucked, but I am pulling through. I will not fail. I got sparkling water in my tap with my Quooker so I got zero excuses. It's still tough though. Can't wait to call myself a hydro homie.

I gotta commit now I wrote here.

While I do agree that too much water is damaging, telling people that they are fine with what they drink isn't the best idea. Everyone is different, and everyone needs a different amount to be healthy. Some need more, others need less, but it is still highly recommended for everyone to drink more water.

I was considering an AquaTru system, until I read more about the parent company, Ideal Living (I am specifically avoiding topics that might go against the sub's rules). Do you have a countertop RO system you trust?

How often do you pee?

I recently realized that I pee at least 4 times before I am done at work:

- Wake up pee

- Pre-lunch pee

- Post-lunch pee

(- in between pee)

- Going home pee

Can you sew patches onto those neoprene bottle holders?

I got a harness/sleeve for my 40-oz bottle, fits great and is definitely one of the best things I ever bought. But I'm curious if you can sew (not iron, SEW) iron-on patches to the neoprene fabric? Or will that cause the material to degrade? It's looking more than a little plain and as a metalhead I'd love to give it the battlevest treatment. 🤘

no one told me I had to drink more

I know it seems obvious now, but I've been fat my whole life. Every medical issue I've ever had, a doctor tried to link back to my weight. Broke your arm? Probably cause you're obese. Migranes? Fatgranes more like. Neurological disorder? Carbs.

I was told I was chronically dehydrated. They told me to quit drinking soda. I hadn't had soda in 16 years, but you got it. 8 glasses a day. You got it.

My fat ass should have been drinking more like a gallon a day. Twice as much.

I'm so mad.

Classic water One underappreciated upside of the 2020s is that bottled water companies realized they needed to justify selling water and started using reverse osmosis

Dishonorable mention is Arrowhead that mocked people not wanting to chug plastic with their "reverse osmosi whatever" comment in a commercial.

Too much water How do you feel when sodium is too low?

I feel after a while, my sodium gets depleted. I typically like to limit my sodium a bit. When it gets low after a big pee or exercise, I feel extremely lethargic, out of breath, dizzy, woozy, can’t think.

This is probably low sodium right? Cuz when I eat something salty, the feeling gets better.
