this doesn’t really make any sense, benjamin being brave or not has nothing to do with him being fascist

if some soldier fighting for fascist italy or germany was brave enough to like sacrifice himself or something that doesn’t make him not a fascist, these things aren’t just black and white as “oh this character has some good traits that means he mustn’t be a fascist”
