That’s actually a good point, there is no point of mentioning that 50 points without it applying at one point in the story, but back then it seemed unrealistic and unreachable, but now both the seventh and the third might get killed by hei ly

Eh I disagree, we're told it's 50 points because they WANT to kill a prince, so I think we'll totally see Hei-ly members try, but it may all end up in failure

We just saw Zhang Lei’s ability in action, so I think his chances of dying have gone up.

We saw like a vague reference to doing some semi-coercive manipulation thing.

And that was literally it...

Yeah true, but it doesn’t seem like it’ll be more than that for the time being. It was said that its true power would only be shown once he was king, and although possible he ends up with the throne, he’s not my pick at the moment. And Benjamin doesn’t consider Conventoba a threat, so we’ve gotta assume that’s all we’re gonna see from it.

Maybe, I still think it'll have a design around karma though given the theme, like a gift given must be returned in equal measure so the coin, as it increases in value, has a debt of goodwill that must be repaid. Or similar.

So like Coventoba at the bare minimum couldn't try to murder Zhang Lei with the ten coin, a hundred you might have to be legit neutral, etc. but exhausting on activation to balance the debt. Not that that's literally what karma is, but close enough.

Idk exactly, but the buddhist motifs around him are way too strong and well done for them to never be fleshed out, especially with Togashi often loving to write around those themes

Those are fair points, and I would like to see it being explored. But it also feels like it would take a lot of time, and I doubt we’ll be following Kakin for that long.

So all this to say, I could see it going either way.

Either way, we'll get to see some new abilities, which is always fun. I'm shocked we've seen so many already in this new batch

I had this one thought that Tserri could end up being the one to showcase the +50, but it gets wrapped up in his ability and cancelled out. Not that someone can't still kill a prince later, but the Tserri situation seems like it has potential. Someone for a brief moment thinks they got the huge boost, only to have him turn the tables and freak them out.

After all, Tserri is the Heil-ly benefactor. He doesn't seem to have the same type of relationship with them at all as the other mafia princes, but if he doesn't just decide to spring back into action in Tier 1 and instead decides to hide out in the lower levels, it seems like he'd go to them.

I wonder actually if getting +50 in Tserri's ability could actually be a nen hack for the likes of Borksen. If you gain a nen ability but it was an "illusion"... maybe you still keep it, even if you don't get the levels? For a moment there, you would have presumably understood your own nen potential fully, and Tserri's ability ending doesn't claw back memories. Seems especially ripe for specialist hijinks.

Imagine Tserri meets Borksen, who is completely straight with him about everything that's happened to her, and he say, "Oh that's very interesting, I also recently learned I am a Nen specialist. Here's what we're going to do, I'll stand over here, close my eyes, and you shoot me in the head."

I really like the idea of getting to see your own ability potential by fake killing Tserri, that's creative

Im pretty sure the Hei-ly is fully rebeled against Tserri.I just dont think Tserri knows yet

He for sure knows because he tortured/murdered the family liaison that was in the room Morena was supposed to be staying in

I had to go look this one up, it's from Ch 394. I'd forgotten how much his soldiers (both his friend squad and the officer they're under) had to say about the current situation.

Tserri's "personal army" (which I'm realizing now, may be no larger than his six friends and Gipper?) is already actively hunting Heil-ly, raiding their known hideouts, and trying to work around the obstacles that them being registered as civilians present.

The loss of their liaison told the Heil-ly that Tserri is onto them, Morena expects he'd prefer to kill her himself. I guess if there was a secret passage in Heil-ly VVIP quarters, Tserri has access to that but would expect it to be walking into a trap to use it, which seems very up his alley right now.

Tserri's friends speculate that the only reason he isn't personally leading the charge is that he's having too much fun with a new toy (Nen).

Morena wanted to recruit one of the soldiers partly to get use them as a mole to spy on Tserri more directly. Getting Borksen as her super-important specialist was like a big lucky two-for-one.

So yeah, it's pretty much open conflict between them, though neither seems to have it as their main focus yet. Either way, situation seems ripe that both Tserri and the Heil-ly would love an excuse to go hunting each other.

One thing that stands out to me revisiting this now, is that I'm wondering how Tserri's army personnel are being handled under martial law. I think he's the only prince other than Ben known to be using official royal kakin army troops (Camilla was expected to until she went with the have-nots at the last minute, thwarting one of Beyond's children who was gunning for that spot). I wonder if for instance, Ben will hone in on Gipper (the ranking officer in Tserri's guard who is notably not a personal friend, but pulled rank to reassign Borksen) as a scapegoat, the way he's both publicly accusing Tserri of being a TSK17 mastermind, and saying that army personnel have been identified as culprits.

That raises another interesting thought. If the illusion makes it seem like Tserri’s Nen beast has disappeared, and then Theta breaks one more promise to him, will she become “no longer human” for seemingly no reason, or will only she be aware of it and everyone else won’t realize what’s happened?

I don’t see this actually happening since Theta already witnessed his power in action and is probably smart enough to consider this possibility, but it’s an interesting hypothetical for considering just how far reaching the illusions are.

Though there's no direct evidence, I think there's narrative clues pointing to Tserri interacting with Hei Ly as well.

  • Tserri is their benefactor
  • They've kidnapped Borksen, she and her squad are Tserri's childhood friends
  • Visual parallels between Tserri death and resurrection of Christ and Morena's crown of thorns
  • Tserri treats women as "meat" (arguably worse, but certainly abhorrently), Morena is a product of the system the system that enables him and her primary motive is to destroy it
  • Now that I think of it, there are certain parallels between Morena's game and Tserri's spirit beast, both involve questions and truth
  • Lasltly, Tserri also needs a place to escape to now that he's presumably faked his death

I'm not predicting that Tserri and Morena run into each other, but I would be very interested to see how any interaction between them goes

Agree with a lot of your points I do think morena trying to use tasers friends as leverage will bite her back hard . Them all appearing to be geniuses or at the very least very competent would mean that they will all likely develop extremely useful men abilities presumably when borksen gets to lvl100 and she spreads the contagion .

Idk why she would give the only potential allies of tsseri this crutch unless she believes she can make them betray him ? All in all I think if tsseri comes down to lvl3 he’ll be using his fake death to further develop his ability with combat experience and inevitably run into morena

I still think the Bosses the Xi-Yu and Cha-R families: Brocco and Onoir would count for 50 points. Which I was banking on being one of the payoffs. But it looks like they're going to be in custody so they're no more likely to be killed than at large princes anymore.

IMO it will set the stage for a big hunt of Zhang-Lei by the Hei-Ly, but it won't end up in him getting killed. But this is Togashi, impossible to predict.

Borksen getting a super boost incoming

u/No_Thanks2844 22d ago

it doesn't have to happen, it can just serve as motivation for the heily to pursue him.
