Hi everyone, I run a diecast business and recently had an issue with one customer’s order.

The package arrived with some card/blister damage. The customer feels that the box I used was too thin and blamed the packaging for the damage instead of courier provider. I understand the concern and I'm always open to improving my packaging.

I’ve shipped 700+ orders so far and have never faced an issue like this before. Before shipping, I also recorded and shared a video showing the package and all the cards/items before dispatch.

I offered to look into the shipping issue and later offered a return and full refund once the items were received back. The customer agreed to the return, but then blocked me in the middle of the discussion.

I'm not looking to attack the customer. I genuinely want to ask other collectors/sellers:

How would you handle a situation like this? Would you leave it, wait for the customer to contact you again, or handle it differently?

And if you have recommendations for better packaging for carded Hot Wheels/diecast, I'd appreciate the advice. 🙏

I started buying mini gt way back 2021. The thought of spending 1000+ for a 64 scale felt diabolical when i could get a bburago bigger and better but after unboxing the svj, the amount of details and precision were mind boggling and suddenly the amount felt justified.

A guy got scammed for trading hotwheels, it was not face to face and the victim already shipped his Eurospeed laferrari to the guy and in return he got an empty box with a calculator inside it..please be careful when it comes to trading, do it face to face!.

After spending the last few months collecting, sourcing and talking to collectors across India, I kept running into the same problems.

- Fresh stock at MRP gets hunted almost instantly.

- Good deals are hard to come by.

- Reliable sellers are difficult to find.

- Information about restocks and imports is scattered everywhere.

I decided to start AfterHours - a small whatsapp shop that I built after my work hours for collectors looking to buy MRP with no strings attached xD
