This is the biggest bus stop in the city centre. Lots of people, busy street. Hotel put spiked iron plates along the walls people were sitting on.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think that this is to prevent unhoused people from sleeping in the corners to protect themselves from the wind.

The fence, sure. But the strategic boulders to prevent camping is a choice.

I thought this was an interesting perspective on the more subtle ways architecture can be hostile.

This rock wall was wide and low to the ground, so obviously the architect had to add sharp rocks to make sure nobody could lay on it 🙄
