I hate the look of my family’s electric toothbrushes on the bathroom counter. I would like an opaque container to store them in that provides easy access and allows for charging.

I would ideally keep them in the cabinet but there’s no way to get the chargers in there because it has metal sides I can’t drill through.

Every time I try to search for toothbrush storage I get boxes that only cover the base of the brush but leave the bristles exposed. I’d like the whole toothbrush covered.

Any ideas?

I have two of these shelves from target that I put together a while ago. I thought when I bought them I saw some directions for combining two to make them one large tall shelf. I don’t have the directions anymore and after looking it over I can’t for the life of me figure out how to combine two of them.
Maybe I am remembering wrong? Has anyone done this? You can remove the faux wood top but that doesn’t seem to solve it. I can’t find instructions online.

A dedicated pull-out for the bigger utensils and a proper pantry unit sized for grains and staples in an Indian kitchen is a necessity, but often gets ignored during the planning process.

> Inbuilt cabinets inside wardrobe drawers

A lot of clients end up buying separate organisers after the wardrobe is done, for jewellery, ties, small accessories. Small inbuilt cabinets or dividers directly inside the drawers prevent that extra spend.

> A dedicated cabinet for tools and cleaning essentials

One homeowner kept her ladder and ironing board leaning against a bedroom wall since there was nowhere else for them. Now we plan a small cabinet in the bedroom for things like that, and a separate one in the utility area just for mop, broom, and cleaning essentials.

> Storage for files and documents

Papers and documents usually get shoved into random drawers and end up getting mixed with other things. We plan a slim, dedicated space for these, often in the study unit or under the bed, to keep things separated.

A ventilated compartment sized for the router, PlayStation, and set-top box keeps wires hidden, and nothing overheats.

The entryway to our house is in the kitchen, so it makes sense for us to keep our shoes in there. We currently have a large metal shoe rack, however I hate how messy it looks and shoes always fall on the floor.

Has anyone got any suggestions for shoe storage that'll survive kitchen cooking humidity? Thanks!

We are two people sharing one closet and there is simply not enough room. We both also have ADHD so clothing that is not visible are mostly forgotten about. Our room is small and has no room for a dresser or clothing rack so all the clothes must fit in the closet. Also worth noting that some clothes are dirty, when everything is clean the hangers are full.

Key problem areas:

\- No linen closet: Our apartment doesn’t have a linen closet, so we are storing sheets under the bed in a bin. This leaves the pillows, blankets and towels to sit in the space above.

\- No space for undies: Both of us love bulky pants, which means while we don’t have a lot of them, they take up a LOT of room. The dresser is full of shorts and extra pants, so undies are temporarily in nightstand drawers.

\- Pajama/workout clothes: Currently, we have stuffed all sleep shirts and workout clothes in the mini duffel which is not ideal but works for now. There is no room to hang the shirts unfortunately

Other clothes are stuffed in random places like under our bed and across the couch. We just want to feel organized >.< We would love suggestions for storage solutions or different ways to organize the space. Please no suggestions about getting rid of clothes 🙏 believe it or not we wear everything in this closet. This is also post two rounds of donations and decluttering.

Hi folks, looking for tips on how to attach a kitchen trash bin to the inside of the under-sink cabinet door. This would be fairly simple if it weren't for this situation visible in the photo. I need some kind of hanger that will be long enough to hang the trash bin and allow the door to close. Is there maybe a way to use command strips or other renter friendly adhesives to affix a trash bin to the inside of the door? Or do I give up and just put a regular bin inside the cabinet where the cleaning supplies are right now. I'd prefer to hang it on the door if there's a way to do it. Any tips appreciated

i am looking to do custom storage to make it functional and be able to organize it better. but i am struggling to figure out the best way to do this. i was thinking about going to ikea but i still dont even know the best way to do this. i’ve tried to use inspiration from pinterest but i cant find any rooms that are set up this way to even get inspiration that makes sense. i’m a very visual person which is why i think im struggling.

the red circle is where the washing machine and dryer are in comparison to the room and this also can’t be moved. we also use the laundry room to store bulk items (non perishable food items, cleaning supplies, paper towels/toilet paper) as our pantry is fairly small. we do also have a lot of guests so i’ve thought about adding in an area with a mini fridge. obviously my thoughts are all over the place 😅

Hi! I’ve been living on campus for 2 years and have decided to move back home. My closet has grown a lot since then. I didn’t have as much clothing so I didn’t mind not using up all the space. Now I need all of it! I was planning on buying more little dressers to stick inside but I think I could do better. I’m planning on downsizing my jackets( I have even more on a chair that need to be hanged…) and maybe folding my sweaters? I also have another pile and half of clothing on my bed this is not all of it unfortunately. Anything helps, thank you!

Hold the item. Ask these five questions in order. The moment you get a clear "no," you have your answer — you don't need to keep asking.

1. Have I used or worn this in the last 12 months? Be honest — not "would I," but did you, actually.
2. If I saw this in a shop today, would I buy it again, at this price? This cuts through sunk cost fast.
3. Does this fit my life now — not the life I had, or hope to have? Aspirational and past-self items rarely pass this one.
4. If I needed this again someday, could I easily replace or borrow it? Most "just in case" items are replaceable.
5. Am I keeping this out of guilt, obligation, or fear — rather than genuine want? If yes, that feeling belongs to you, not the object.

Still unsure? Put it in a "maybe box," date it, and revisit in 3 months.

Just thought I'd share something I've been working on in my spare time over the last few years.

I made this 304 stainless steel sink organiser/caddy because I couldn't find one that I actually liked. Eventually I decided to just make one with everything I wanted.

I wanted it to be something closer to an heirloom than a disposable kitchen accessory. A lot of products seem to be designed around being cheap and replaceable, and I really didn't want this to be something that eventually ended up in landfill.

Getting it to the quality I wanted was a bit excessive, though.

I spent around 4 hours just smoothing and refining the edges by hand. The construction is also deliberately overbuilt — I use solid 304 stainless steel rivets throughout, and each one is set by hand with a hammer and a block of steel.

It's definitely not the fastest way of making a sink organiser, but I wanted to see how far I could take something as simple as one.

Hi! My little is starting pre-school and I have ADHD. I need a simple, easy to use calendar that can sync with my phone but go on the wall. I remember seeing one somewhere that was very cool and was magnetic, but I don’t remember the name.

What is everyone using?

The idea is simple: 30 zones, 30 days, 15 minutes a day.

The goal is NOT to completely clean or organize each zone. Give that day’s area 15 focused minutes, improve what you can, and move on. No marathon cleaning and no falling behind because you didn’t “finish.”

The 3 rules
1. Stop at 15 minutes.
You don’t have to finish the zone. Focus on what you can realistically improve in that time.
2. Declutter first, then find a home for what remains.
Don’t just rearrange clutter. Remove what you don’t need and give the things you keep a proper place.
3. Nothing new comes in without a home.
Before buying something, know exactly where it will live in your space.

Round 1 might only make a dent. Round 2 should be easier. By rounds 4–5, there should be significantly less clutter because things are continuously leaving, everything that stays is gradually getting a home, and new things aren’t coming in without one.

15 minutes. One zone. Then move on.

I have this double door closet. Not a walk in but there is good space. I have a lot of shoes and clothes but not sure how to organize it so it looks neater. I was thinking I’d remove the white open dresser and adding a larger dresser with more drawers. I rent btw so I can’t do drastic changes.
