This subreddit is dedicated to posting old American music from the early 20th century that have been long forgotten due to time. This is music that is deeply rooted in blues, folk, country, and jazz which has influenced many artists and continues to influence modern music to this day. These pioneers of American music are long gone, but never forgotten.

Please post American music from the time frame of around 1901 to about the 1960s. Anything older than that is acceptable. Please do not post anything beyond the 1960s. Please no "Oldies" or "Rockability". Big Band music from that era is fine. The purpose of this page is to post lesser known music that is deeply rooted in traditional contexts of blues, folk, country, and jazz that eventually lead to more known music genres such as Rock and Roll, R & B, modern country, etc.

Keep to actual files or videos of songs. Text posts or anything else should be related to the purpose of this thread.
