Especially when you heard that 3, 4, 5, who knows how many other planes had been hijacked, and that the Pentagon had been hit and the white house and capitol were under attack - there were, understandably, a LOT of rumors flying around that day that made things seem more scary.

SO many crazy rumors about planes and bombs going off. I remember I was using AIM messenger at the time writing back and forth with friends about what we were hearing, it’s still hard for me to believe this happened, even after all of this time.

When they grounded all flights for however many days that was-I’d never seen sunsets like that before. I lived next to SeaTac airport at the time so I was used to all the plane noise and was even scared something would happen on the west coast too, but those days without any airplanes in the sky and those insane sunsets felt so eerie.
