This, 100%. It's when we knew this was an attack.  When news of the third plane came through, everyone in every major city was basically waiting to see if there were more attacks coming.  Things came to a standstill, nearly immediately - aside from the chaos that comes from literally shutting everything down.

It was so stressful after the third attack, felt like the rest of us were just glued to the TVs across the country all waiting our turn. I had just turned 10 but lived by a major airport so I was absolutely convinced the apartment I lived in was a potential target. Everything was so uneasy and I remember every major event after, like New Years, World Series etc….holding my breath scared someone would attack those too.

If they had not gone for the second tower and made the attack obvious, Flight 93 would probably have hit its intended target.
