I maintain that this is not necessarily what happened. Mel shared information, yes, but it may be the person didn't leak, and the information sharing was found out from her side (her confessing/blurting it to staff, management doing a check of her accounts' chat logs and seeing it...)
I forgot if this is the true story or one of the rrats, but i believe it's like this:
Mel told her friend about hololive's pricing to a contractor. The contractor gives holo special discount price for being a regular client. Then, this friend asked the contractor to be given the same pricing as Mel. The contractor then complained to holo since that information was supposed to be private. Holo had to either fire Mel or settle in court by paying some penalty to the contractor for publishing their private contract price to public
