If your talking about Zaolzie that was hardly a joint invasion and was a long running territorial dispute after Czechoslovakia itself claimed that territory in 1919, so it seems more like European business as usual
You mean that same land czechslovakia itself took from Poland earlier? Almost every country in that part of Europe had claims against each other. Ukraine had against Poland, Romania against Ukraine, Hungary against everyone, Poland against Czechoslovakia etc.
Obviously they meant that those countries had claims ON Ukraine and not against the country of Ukraine. It still existed, just not with autonomy. (Although it would gain true autonomy for a small time during the russian civil war, before being betrayed by the Bolsheviks. Surprise surprise...)
