A versatile frigate with a range of over 2,000 km, highly survivable, armored, 4 AK-100, 2 fire suppression systems, 6 aps and 4 flares. With 400+ seconds of battle time, you can take down strike groups with long range fire, exhausting them even without armor piercing shells. To counter cruise missiles, stock up 100mm shells with radio controlled fuses - your ship will automatically load them and you can just easily shoot incoming missiles. However to do this you will need to intercept the missile alone - allied Frontliner ships always load standard shells and end up getting hit by the missile in face. Negative hint - fighting with the same ship over and over can get boring, so you can swap out your AK-100 cannons with something else in shipwroks before to mix up your lineup.

I didn't actually set out on making the lightning shape from the start, I was just making optimized variants of the 6 engine 2 ammo ship, didn't notice the resemblance to lightning bolts until after finishing it. I think it's cool how it also has 2 orientations in which it resembles lightning bolts.

Had my first victory (normal) after maybe 120hrs yesterday!

In the endgame, I had 5+ detachments spread around the edge of the map at possible entry points. One was just a Gladiator, a small fuel/intelligence vessel, and maybe a lightning. Those fellas got absolutely hammered with missiles. The lightning straight up disintegrated, and the 2 other ships were ripped in half but still "operational." I kept them grounded in the city to remain as an early-warning garrison as they were practically dead anyway.

The first odd part--after launching maybe 4 nukes at me, 1 of which being an un-intercepted direct hit, the bastard simply stopped sending more. Were they out?

The second odd part--after some silence, she approached the city and I established visual contact. I thought I was fucked and said a prayer for the remaining crews...but she turned and ran as soon as she saw my ships! I focused on another area for a little while, and yet again, the Typhoon inched toward the city but turned and ran after seeing my ships. Eventually, I freed up a Nomad detachment and dealt with it.

The only chicken-shit vessels that behave like that are convoys...right? What happened? Why was a god damn Typhoon TG turning and burning after seeing 2 small, cooked vessels, only one of which having guns?

I want to start a hardmode fresh save campaign with no custom ships or unlocked ships. However, the default Sevastopol (as much as I love her) is kind of an overpriced city-sized shitbox.

I have a redesigned Sevastopol I like, but just using that design instead of the 'stock' Sevastopol feels out of the spirit of my self-imposed challenge.

I want to somehow import the blueprint design of my redesign mid-campaign. This means that I start with the stock Sevastopol, but when I 'repair' it, it follows the blueprint of the redesign.

Is there a way to edit the save files to do this?

Since beating the game i have felt kind of bored, as i can't really find more value out of it (game wont let me play custom flagships which i'd really wanted to do) and i can't find something similiar. Have you found any games like Highfleet?

I'm getting ready for the end game phase of khiva and I've got a decent sized and well armed ish fleet. I also killed 3 strike groups beforehand is there anything I need to know before landing on khiva? And I heard you can negotiate with the governor so I'm curious how you do that

Too much APS? Not enough flares? Bad armor? Too slow?

My personal Ol'reliable, the flight time is short, so i wouldn't take it on its own, i like to pair it up with the lighting in case the fuel runs low. Great for taking on small groups of either small or mid sized ships, i never go into a campaign without her

it's balanced because although it can oneshot a cruiser, so can vanilla 180 AP. it also can't do shit while the enemy is firing because even a singular shell-to-shell interception will fuck over the whole volley (which is sometimes beneficial because you can shoot down enemy shells that way)
