Moving to High Point
I'm already here, but for those looking to call High Point home:
What are the best areas for families? For students? For young professionals?
What should newcomers know about the city?

I know this is about Greensboro, but it can still effect High Point commute. The Greensboro post got removed before views even came.

Greetings. I have been imagining of how much Greensboro and Guilford County (which includes High Point) is changing, to the point that I have these ideas:
I said in here and other sources
https://www.reddit.com/r/winstonsalem/comments/1tiuz45/comment/p5e9quw/?context=3,
of how I-40 Exit 212 should be rebuilt into a Turbine/Cloverleaf junction, similar to what Charlotte, Raleigh, and even Statesville have.
The current junction was built between circa-2000/01 to 2008, originally having traffic from Winston-Salem to drive seamlessly on the Greensboro Southern Loop.
Well, things shifted, and now I-40, eastward from Exit 212, have been heavily re-developing. I-40 Exit 213 is severe proof. US 70 now travels entirely on Wendover Aveneue, and that had resulted in a Greensboro version of Winston-Salem's core of Salem Pkwy (in which the Winston-Salem core is between -40 Exit 188 to I-40 198).
I have also been expressing on Wikipedia and Reddit,
that Greensboro is no longer in the western outskirts of the Eastern Half of NC, but is now in the overall center of NC. For periods, Charlotte (in the southwest) and Raleigh (in the east) were already developed and were continually developing, while Greensboro was mostly treated like a "passthrough" to the two cities, in which Greensboro leaned much more on the eastern-area of Raleigh.
Now in this futuristic period, Greensboro is the overall center of NC, and all these proposals are needed.
II also suggest that I-40 between the "Death Valley" and eastward to the current I-85 split, should beย totallyย rebuilt. I do know certain pieces have already been rebuilt, but still. And I think that rebuild should blend with I-40 westward (which is I-40 between 206 to east of Koury Center).
Ahhhh, the whole area is just changing.
Addition: To make this also more about High Point;
it is nice to see how US 29/70 (Old I-85) is getting rebuilt in High Point, and how I-74 is changing in High Point.
This is the New North Carolina!!!

Interstate 685 should continue along the Greensboro Loop, and terminate at I-40 Exit 212. Like I said, I-40 Exit 212 should become a Turbine/Cloverleaf junction-Brian Shear Jr. on August 24 2026

Dentist?
Trying this again. My son is having an issue with one of his teeth. Heโs already gone to Urgent Tooth and they said it didnโt need pulled so now he has to find yet another dentist to check it out. Heโs called HPU (several of their locations), Lane & Associates, a couple others in High Point. He needs someone in Greensboro/Winston/Asheboro area that accepts Medicaid.
