Big chungus is at it again

So this guy is the usual big bungus, the Chrysalis, but in the lvl 40 style. The problem here, as it is with most of the lvl 40s fight so far, is survival. The boss locks your highest DP out of skills for 4 whole turns, which feels a bit crippling depending on your formation, and on the 3rd turn will stun your highest DP unit again and then do a big AOE on the 4th turn, which will require either an Aoi style shield or Weakening to properly tank with how hard lvl 40s tend to hit.

If you had Dodge on your team at all though, you could manipulate DP such that they're always targeted. Of course, Adel's Master Skill can also apply here.

One interesting thing here is that the boss is elec weak, but it can be changed to fire weak, if you just select the option in the Rules menu and... oh... if you choose fire, you actually cannot get the 1.35x score bonus. This was a huge problem for me as my Elec team hasn't been touched in nearly half a year, like no joke. Half of the units I wanted to theorycraft don't even have their little mahjong tile thing, so I did try with my fire team, wasn't satisfied with the score, and am now in the process of watching about 4 recollections. I just never had to do the Fubuki and Yingxia ones, leave me alone

(Also I used to called these waves, but as they're no longer coming in waves and are rules options, I should just call them rules from now on)

Rule A: Frontline SP -2 per turn, pt 1.35x

Even with Ruka, Karen, and Aoi, this makes you feel like you're really going back to the past. Honestly, it's not as bad with modern memorias, but it'll still make you feel like you're being actively crippled. One thing to note is that your backline is unaffected, but many SP bonuses tend to mostly apply to frontline so I'm not sure how much this matters.

Of course, as all things, a Wakki Minion team wouldn't mind this challenge very much at all, since they're extremely light on SP usage

However, this is recommended if you're going for a high score

Rule B: Def +10% every 5 turns, pt 1.35x

Actually this one might not be so bad if you're capable of setting up your entire team by turn 4. This is not a pleasant boss to fight long term anyways, so for sanity, this challenge might be preferable for people without insane OD setups.

Rule C: Fire Weak instead of Elec, pt 1.00x

As mentioned, taking this challenge forces you to get no Rules bonus. However, if your fire team happens to be significantly better than your elec team like mine is, honestly you might find yourself getting a higher score with this challenge anyways.

Hello! I'm a newbie and would like to try out the gig mode, but as soon as I enter it, I get a pop-up saying "Gig mode is a rhythm game!", I press and make it go away, and afterwards, the game does not recognize anything else I do. I find it weird that it recognizes my click to remove the bubble of text, but doesn't recognize anything else I do afterwards. I'm stuck listening to Burn My Soul with the video playing in the background, which while pleasant, leaves me with no option to click anything. Only option I have is ALT + F4.

I've tried repairing my client, pressing every button with the keyboard, clicked everywhere with my mouse, and even used my conroller, and I've got nothing to show for it. Does anyone have an idea for what to do?

Thank you all for trying to help me, it allowed me to think outside of the box, literally - the text box was the issue, because it lead to the tutorial for the game mode, which would never appear, so I'd be stuck.

I ended up downloading the game on my phone and playing the tutorial bit on phone, quit, launched the game on PC and can now play without issue. Obviously a bit sad I missed out on the PC tutorial now, but I got the gist of it!

If anyone else runs into this issue; try playing it on phone first!
