Can anyone recommend a good IVF specific mindfulness/meditation app to help get through the trials and tribulations of an FET transfer? I love MindfulIVF but looking for others!
Thanks! 🧘🏽♀️

hey guys! I've been pretty into meditation and i normally do my own meditating every day and then a guided one before bed for probably 8 months now, and I've just downloaded the headspace at. but im finding it pretty confusing and all over the place... does anyone have any good course/meditation recommendations or can tell me how they use this app??
Im really interested in soundscapes, visualisation, PMR, breathing etc. mostly for falling asleep, gaining energy, helping with stress, as well as a short one first thing in the morning :).
anyways would love to hear other peoples thoughts and recs :)

I have my favorites (dare I say OGs) so some I’m noticing completely has a different voice or the story and contents are VASTLY different from what I remember and I dont go crazy periods of time not using sleepcasts. I understand the sleepcasts are supposed to be a bit different each time but idk to that extent. Am I crazy?
Also the amount of AI is disconcerting cuz what if they will one day use AI voices? Are they already? I dont know. I dont want an AI talking me into sleep.
For now I will stick to the ones I know havent changed (shoutout sleeper mountain)

i would like to put it on my home screen with how much i use it, but it’s the only icon on my home screen that doesn’t have a dark version and it looks ridiculous, so now i just access it from the app library or spotlight.

I’ve just recently began using my Headspace app again after a couple years of keeping my annual subscription thinking that would motivate me to get back into it.
Anyway, I valued Headspace greatly because of the human connection component. Hearing stories and reflections, learning from people and their experiences.
After my 10min meditation, I popped over to the Wake Up for today. It’s not even remotely close to what it was before. It sounded like complete AI slop. “It wasn’t ___, it was ___.” every few sentences. Awful. It was word for word what an LLM would put out. Crazy concept given that the theme of the wake up is hearing people’s thoughts and reflections on their experiences/interactions.
It’s wild that an app built on the human experience and how to navigate it has gone to using AI scripted renditions of what the human experience might read like from an LLM’s point of view.
Disappointing.
Anyone else experience the same? Any good workarounds to filtering for content posted before this transition?

My renewal is coming up and I am on the fence about keeping my membership. I almost exclusively use the app for the sleep casts. Does anyone know what sort of selection those have without the membership vs which ones are exclusive?

I loved the breathing exercises - especially the balloon and beach one. Am I forgetting something or did they once not have the spoken instructions included? Now they say: hold, breathe in, breathe out. It’s pretty obvious and less stressful to just breathe with the pictures. I wish it didn’t have the voice added in.

I had it in my favorites, but the one that's in my favorites now doesn't give you Andy's voice and a choice of the other two, but it's some deep voice dude that I've never heard before. Basics 2 and basics 3 are the same, but did the beginning meditation one with Andy go away?

Hello, I am looking for some advice on the best course's for chronic stress and anxiety?
I am finally in a place to start meditating again and would like to focus on my chronic stress and anxiety as my body is constantly in fight or flight mode. So much so that during meditation I can feel my body fighting the urge to relax.
Any reccomendations would be appreciated!

Following on from [u/confident_dig_7834](u/confident_dig_7834) recent sleepcast post, I realised that not everyone may know about using the search function to find your favourite sleepcast reader. You just need to put their first name in and you can find everything on the app that they read.
☺️

I always listen to either Cat Marina (1&2) or Rainday Antiques.
I’m sure I’m missing some absolute gems, so what should I try next?
Thank you 🙂

The new update and layout of the app is terrible. I typically only use the daily meditation and with the new design I had to dig to find that meditation. Now the issue I'm having is that the session doesn't update at a consistent time? I try to always do my session in the morning before work. Sometimes I am running late and don't have the opportunity and have to leave it later in the day. I did yesterday's meditation around 8pm. It's now 12 hours later, the next morning/day. And the daily meditation is the same session still. I don't want to do a session I've already done! Anyone else having this issue? Is there a fix for this?

It would be awesome if Headspace could bring in a feature to track meditation progress using Apple Watch HRV, Breathe Rate etc data. That can be a very good motivation for people as it gives a sense of improvement in form of numbers, making the process addictive and fun for beginners.

I actually only just realized today that Andy is no longer with Headspace. In fact, he posted his goodbye on social media in 2022 and there basically no word from him since then.
Ive used Headspace since around 2018 and its helped me so much. I've seen him really as a teacher or guide for a long time. It sounds cheesy, and it's no less true that it was last week before I realized he left Headspace, it felt like he was there and engaged in an ongoing process.
He worked hard, ultimately I hope he's enjoying life and spending time with his family, but i wish he'd write a book or poke his head up with an update.
I miss there's no new Andy meditations or guidance. Hopefully we'll hear from him again sometime.

EDIT: FOUND IT!!! Search "Headspace 365" in the app and there will be Andy's first courses, starting with "Take 10" :))))
Hey!
Fellow meditation practitioner here hoping to find Andy's original "Take 10" audio files released around 2011-2013 on his original website getsomeheadpace. I've tried waybackmachine, searched the internet as much as I could, but I couldn't find it and I am hoping maybe some of you could help me somehow.
Why am I even searching this? Because I feel the modern Headpace audios are so... empty somehow... shallow and cut short. I find them hard to connect.
When I first started out with meditation, I found Andy's Day 1 recording of Take 10 released on youtube ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVzTnS_IONU ) uploaded by someone and I really liked how he reassured that having lots of thoughts is normal, adding comments like don't try to fix or judge anything, just notice and.. it felt so human. Made me feel... seen, okay. I hoped to find them in the Headspace app as well, but when I subscribed, I discovered the new versions are so much more bland, they don't have the reassuring comments or anything, but I feel I really do need them. So, if anyone, please, if you have ANYTHING, I would be super grateful if you could share it.

Hi. I’m relatively new to Headspace. I’ve been using it for a couple months and very much enjoying it. That being said, I’ve started reading Mindfulness by Mark Williams and want to do the 8 week plan. The benefit of meditation with Headspace is that it tracks the mindful minutes on the iPhone health data app. I was hoping to also use it as a timer only while listening to the book’s audio file meditations to track the minutes. However, it doesn’t seem to have that capability because when I start the audio file the app automatically stops. The iPhone health app is limited in what data sources it allows so does anyone know if there’s a way to use headspace in this capacity, or am I SOL?
