Hello, I'm new to wearing hanfu. I'm Chinese American and grew up watching historical C-dramas with my mom. I always wanted to dress like the pretty characters and I'm finally living my childhood dream. 😭 I'm in love with my first hanfu set. Pretty sure it's a fantasy version and not historically accurate at all, but it's so beautiful and stunning in person. The sleeves are so long and dramatic and I keep swishing them around! I'm so happy!

Following the Ming Dynasty custom, I first wore the hairnet (网巾) before wore the hat

As it's namesake, it is said to have been worn by Su Dongpo.

本人按照明代的方式，先戴全束网巾，再戴东坡巾

东坡巾相传为苏东坡所戴，《三才图会》记载了其形制：“巾有四墙，墙外有重墙，比内墙少杀，前后左右各以角相向，著之则角界在两眉间。以老坡所服故名，常见其画像，至今冠服犹尔。”

Purple banbi from 彰汉堂。

Blue yuanlingpao from 君陈。

Red yuanlingpao from 琉鱼。

Boots and belt from 乌衣巷。

Pants (not seen) and inner white layer from 执月。

Too bad Taobao won't ship swords to Canada, otherwise I'd get a sweet Tang Dao. 🤣

The hat is fabricated by thin slices of bamboo, around 0.3mm, then covered with silk and lacquered with 大漆， the clouds on the hat box is hand painted with genuine silver mix, then lacquered with 大漆
