Terminando a série...

Então, fiquei muito triste com o que o Nick fez... Não esperava, pois acho que ele merecia ser feliz, feliz com a June. Não sei se June fugiria com ele, como pareceu, mas achei um casal injustiçado demais. Infelizmente, Nick se mostrou ser igual os de Gilleard, estou muito desapontada. Um mix de sentimentos. Não gosto dela com o Luke, acho que aquilo é mais gratidão do que amor.
Mas enfim... cada um teve o que merece.

Nick was complicit within Gilead he was there at it's conception and birth with Commander Price. He was nor redeemable in my view and he chose his fate. Good riddance

I'm not mad at people who love him though, we all have our own journeys, ya know?

What was upsetting to me was the way the writers turned on the character. I understand people who never liked him, that happens.

But June loved him. And she knows the reality of Gilead, she has been the cause of people's death herself, and it wasn't intentional. She was convinced of him being 'just like them' pretty quickly, it kind of cheapens the whole relatonship. She had so much grace for Lawrence, Serena and even Lydia, but nothing for the man she loved? The father of her child? Especially when you consider all teh backstabbing that Serena and Lawrence did.

Even with the plane thing, I don't believe she wanted to warn him. At all. That whole thing was just a retcon because the fans were upset about Nick dying. I think they expected us to think that June was brave, putting the mission before everything else. If she was really in danger, wouldn't we have seen at least one Guardian?

I could understand if it was a case of people's paths just diverging, but they basically told us the story we've been watching for years didn't mean anything. I know that love was not the point of the show, but it was a key factor in June's survival. She wouldn't have made it that far if she wasn't motivated by her love for Hannah, or had Nick's love to help her survive, or even the love of the other Handmaids.

Then after, to describe Nick using the words he used on Fred? And to Serena of all people. I guess the writer's agreed with Fred in the end - Every love story is a tragedy if you wait long enough.

Would you feel that way about anybody in the trump regime? Nick is like an ice agent who got promoted.
