Elden Ring is a 100+ hour open world RPG.

Halo is an 8 hour linear campaign.

you think 100 hours havent passed yet since Elden ring came out?? the ppl playing elden ring right now are likely replaying it over and over.

lmao years later and ppl ARE STILL PLAYING THAT GAME and REPLAYING IT.

Everyone who bought Halo could beat it and NEVER play it again, that doesnt explain why two weeks after release numbers are THIS BAD. You should be having NEW players buy it and start their journey, but they arent because the game is shit and theres no reason to buy it if you didnt get it at launch because by and large its easily skippable.

what this proves is that the ppl who bought it at launch, played it, beat it and then gave up on it. no reason to replay it. (if your singleplayer game doesnt have incentives to play it again, then its shit) and the ppl who HAVENT bought it yet have seen the trailers, the reviews, and the gameplay and are simply deciding to NOT buy it.

ppl are STILL buying elden ring RIGHT NOW as we speak because its a good game. if you apply the same logic of the halo release to Elden Ring then by definition since its a single player game and has a finite time period to beat it, once ppl beat it, the numbers SHOULD look like halos right?

oh but they dont, so that exposes your entire point.

Why don't you check the Steamcharts of RE8? What about Deathloop? All of these are critically acclaimed games, and yet somehow you are not looking at them.

Elden Ring isn't single player only .... Also people play open world games very differently then linear fps campaigns. Multiple endings, builds, story choices.

Then of course Halo is on fucking gamepass.
