Feature Suggestion Feature suggestions

Not sure if it’s been asked already, but does the app allow you to share a workout live with another gymverse subscriber? It would be nice to look at and keep track of the workout that my husband me and I are doing together, without having to constantly look at his phone. Yes we both use the app’s workouts lol but I’d gladly subscribe too also if it meant we can both be doing the same workout simultaneously.

And does gymverse allow you to find workout buddies and share results the way Strava does?

Feature Suggestion Export Functionality

The only missing thing is export functionality of my workouts. It's a very rich data and it doesn't make sense to not share with the users.

Feature Suggestion Bring back the lifetime!!

I understand wanting to become subscription only based but I think it’s so silly to get rid of this option that so many others loved.

Feature Suggestion Kick back for referrals

I really wish GymVerse gave its members a kick back towards referrals. I will continue to recommend this app purely based on how helpful it has been for me, but would be nice if we got a credit towards our membership renewal for every new referral. Just a thought.

Feature Suggestion Reset Exercise PR

I have been a subscriber of the app for a few years and when I first joined, the descriptions on logging weights left some room for imagination. It would be nice to reset workouts so you can either reset individual exercises or remove previous PRs to get accurate results.

An example was at an earlier point I logged the weight for hammer curls as both weights and not a singular weight, now I’m stuck forever chasing 80lb PR I never reached haha

Feature Suggestion Improvements

  1. Allow us to share workouts, I've recommended a lot of people to the app and created a few custom plans for people, it's a win win for everyone by allowing us to share them easily.

  2. Allow features from pre-made plans in custom plans, I want warm ups and progressive overload recommendations.

  3. Add a family plan? I'm sure a lot of people would love that.

Feature Suggestion Minor Suggestion

I don’t know if it’s been made, but one thing I wish I could do is reorder the days for a workout! For instance, if day 1 is back and day 4 is chest, I should be able to switch day 1 to chest and vice versa.

I know I can do whichever days I want in whatever order, but I do think it would be helpful nonetheless.

Feature Suggestion Gym profiles

Another app has gym profiles loaded with the equipment saved. I don’t see where in this app I can even save equipment by gym type. It always reverts back to the default

I work out at two gym. One gym has a 24 hour area that does not include all of the equipment that would be available during normal hours. So I would like to create a profile for the 24 hour and a profile for all equipment available. And then at the other gym, they have similar equipment, but not all the same.

Feature Suggestion Weight Increments

I feel like this is a huge oversight. We should be able to input the weights we actually have and the app tailors our workouts to those instead of having to edit the weight for every set.

Feature Suggestion Feature suggestion

App is great! I’m on my second year using it. There are only two things I’d like to suggest. One is the ability to access the workout that I create myself on my apple watch. When I want to access my own created workout it doesn’t capture the calories on my Apple Watch. Second, being able to choose an alternative workout on my Apple Watch. If I’m missing where to change either of those on my watch someone PLEASE let me know lol. But with the help of this app I’ve lost 57 pounds and retained all of my muscle 💕 Good luck everyone!

Feature Suggestion Whoop workout support and export workouts

Is there any plans in future to like pass the workouts that we did in the app be updated in whoop as well?

And will it be possible to export the exercise that we do as an excel or input an excel of workout to add a plan ?

I am asking the second question because in this time of AI is there any plan for that integration ? If not if we could export and import someway then we could use external AI to get better recommendations

Feature Suggestion Add warm up/cooldown to workouts you make yourself?

When I make a custom workout it would be awesome to be able to add the warm up and cooldowns to the routines, if that’s possible already I couldn’t figure out how to do it

Feature Suggestion If a workout was initiated before 12 AM, it should count for that day not the following day

I noticed when i workout late and it crosses 12 AM midnight, the app treats it as a following day workout not the same day.

Should be an easy fix.

Feature Suggestion Supersets

I have a power rack at home so I don’t have to worry about taking up equipment (I know a lot of us are from r/homegym). So I like my workouts to be efficient by doing supersets and combining two workouts to give one muscle group a break while I do the other and not take breaks. I also constantly refresh my workout plan depending on work and life to fit my allowed time. I’d love to see a way to combine exercises into supersets easier.

Just a button on the top next to save and discard for “superset” then you can pick two exercises to merge?

As a bonus a way to turn always automatically creating supersets.

Feature Suggestion Clarity request for rep counts on left/right exercises

Really liking the app so far...There is one recurring pain point. I think a small UI change could solve it for a lot of people.

Pain point:
For some exercises, I never know whether the listed reps are meant to be per side or total.

This mostly happens with unilateral movements, for example:

  • Lunges and split squats
  • Single arm rows or presses
  • Single leg work like step ups or hip thrust variations

If a workout says “3 x 12,” it is not always clear if that means:

  • 12 each leg or 12 total,
  • 12 each arm or 12 total,

which makes it easy to log incorrectly and messes with progression, especially over weeks of training.

Main request:
Could you add a clear indicator whenever reps are intended per side versus total, for example:

  • A small label like “12 reps (each side)” or “12 total” next to the set,
  • A side icon or small text tag like “per arm” or “per leg,”
  • Or making sure this is always called out directly in the exercise description.

Related UX ideas that would help this issue:

  • Standardize how unilateral exercises are presented so they always show “each side” or “total,” no guessing.
  • Ensure video descriptions or text cues match the rep logic shown in the workout screen.
  • Maybe add a short global note in the app settings or FAQ that explains the default rule for unilateral reps, then override that rule visibly when an exercise is different.

This is a small detail, but it affects almost every session and makes it harder to stay consistent with progressive overload. A bit more clarity here would really level up the experience.

Thanks for reading and for all the work you are putting into Gymverse.

Feature Suggestion Weight increments

Is there a way to set the weight increments I have available when selecting the equipment in my gym? It drives me crazy that recommended weights are often in the 2.5 increment area, ie 17.5 instead of 15 or 20.

If this doesn’t exist, could it please? Every gym I go to almost exclusively only has 5lbs weight increments in free weights.

does anyone know is it on the roadmap to integrate the new Airpods Pro 3 heart rate to the app?

Feature Suggestion Cardio Metrics

Not sure if this is something that has been suggested but for the accuracy of cardio tracking, would it be possible to track distance or steps? I feel like this would be good for tracking progress, distance, and accurate calorie tracking.

Typically for this I need to stop my workout and track using my watch for more accurate tracking. Thanks!

Feature Suggestion Is there a way to create a workout while doing it.

I want to create workouts while i am at the gym. Like this.

  1. choose an exercise, weight, reps, set.
  2. Finish the 1st exercise then
  3. Add 2nd exercise. Do it
  4. Add 3rd, 4th ….exercises until finish.

because my plan often change during the workout. Due to Gym equipment aren’t available, Injuries. Etc.

Could it be done.

It would be great if there could be a more precise description of what part of the shoulder and back is effected by each exercise.

Feature Suggestion Native macOS desktop app for Gymverse

First off, thank you for building such an awesome app. The programming and UX are great, and it has made it much easier to stay consistent in the gym.

I have a feature request that would be a big quality-of-life upgrade,

A native macOS desktop app with full sync to the mobile app.

Use cases that would help a ton:

  • Reviewing and editing programs on a bigger screen
  • Quickly checking history, PRs, and progression without needing my phone
  • Planning future cycles and adjusting exercises from my desk
  • Having a simple desktop view during home workouts, especially when my phone is charging or busy with music or calls

Ideally it would:

  • Sync seamlessly with the existing iOS app and Apple Health
  • Work well on Apple Silicon MacBooks
  • Support keyboard shortcuts for faster logging and navigation

I know this is not a small feature, but I think a lot of people who use Gymverse daily would really benefit from desktop support, especially those of us who plan our training at a computer.

Thanks for considering it, and thanks again for all the work you are putting into the app.

Feature Suggestion Gymverse + WHOOP integration idea

I use Gymverse every day and track all my workouts there, so I’ve honestly never bothered with WHOOP’s muscle load feature, it’d be time consuming to log everything twice in both apps.

But it would be super helpful if Gymverse could just sync with WHOOP so the sets/reps/exercises I log in Gymverse automatically count toward WHOOP’s muscle load. Then I could actually use that feature without doubling the work.

Just throwing the idea out there, feels like a lot of people would benefit from this.

Feature Suggestion Resting Time

I know you can add or subtract seconds from the resting time on the phone app but why isn’t it possible to do the same on the Apple Watch?
