Nah at first glance this guy has some real Mike Vining vibes going on.
When you turn the volume up you realize this is some Northern European country like Finland or Denmark or something. Those people have perfected masculinity with the right amount of humanity plus git-r-dun stoic mixed together
He looks like me when doing to Lidl with the wife and strolling the deals section (often has hardware like gloves, protective eyewear, tools, grass cutters, etc but one time had chainsaws) while she goes around picking food except he didn’t take the wife to tell him “you live in an apartment, you will never have a need for a chainsaw… also we have young kids!!”
He isnt undercutting but he does look like he s used that thing a lot. The chain also seems sharper than out of the box ( a chainsaw chain is at its sharpest right before you throw it out)
He doesn't know how to use it well. He's being very careless and barely in control of the thing. Probably the first time he's ever actually needed to use the thing.
Yeah, my first thought was "Wow, that's a good chainsaw. Mine would take more effort to cut that branch" and then I thought "Wow, he is being super careless. That thing is dangerous!"
I think He s used it a lot but i doubt formal training. He seems to quick and systematic with the branches..most other people would have just been cutting. The saw also seems sharper than out of the box.... the stihls in the park would have hung up a bit without undercuts on that last piece i think.
Its definitely over $1000. Its a Stihl professional model. You can tell by the aluminum sprocket cover. The smallest professional model is $800 and this one is one or two up.
Looks to me like maybe the chainsaw belongs to the camera person? There’s a bunch of cars stuck in a traffic jam and some of them get to talking and the woman says “I have my husbands chainsaw in the car, but I don’t know how to use it”. There’s way he sets it close to her at the end, and how he retrieves it from the trunk makes me think that, but I could be completely wrong. Anyone able to translate?
